Chapter 2

RECOGNITION CEREMONY

~Abhaya's POV~

Days passed very fast and it's our recognition day. I'm wearing a dress above the knees with my matching heels with it. Haylene is wearing a beautiful red dress with her 3inch red heels. Kylene wearing an off-shoulder pastel colored dress with a 3inch pastel colored heels also. Xia wearing a floral dress matching her short hair with a 3inch black heels. And Cassey our youngest, wearing a fashion styled dress with her matching 3inch white heels with it.

We've been preparing for this day that we've gotten gorgeous dresses and heels. It's 6:30 in the morning and we are very ready but the ceremony is still in 8 am.

"Hey gals, let's go get some breakfast and after we need to go to the ceremony area" sabi ni Xia. "Ok then, let's crash in around!" sabi ko sabah tungo sa pintuan. Lumabas na kami ng dorm and locked it.

Pagdating namin ng canteen, lahat ng naka upo sa mga tables napa lingon sa kinaroroonan namin. It's like they've seen ghosts. Oh I forgot to tell you, we are one of the popular girls in this school. Ningitian lang namin silang lahat at tumungo na sa counter.

"Good am miss. I would like to order 1 lasagna and a frappucino" I said. "What flavor do you like for your frappucino ma'am" the cashier said. "Uhm, I like strawberry frapuccino miss" I said while smiling. "Ok ma'am" she said and I waited for it.

"Hey Aya!" Joy shouted while waving her hand. "Guys, your orders are not yet ready so I just gotta go to Joy for a minute okay!" I said with a big smile. "Hey Joy, why are you calling me?" I asked when I reach to her table. "Aya, naalala mo pa ba yung always kong chinachat sa iyo na may kilala akong good looking guy?" sabi niya. "Ah eh sino nga yun?" tanong ko na lang. "Mabuti naalala mo pa. Pupunta siya ngayon dito sa recognition day natin dahil gusto ka raw niya makita in person" sabi ni Joy na ikinabigla ko. "O-okay then tell me when he got here already. But you know that I'm not so into guys anymore now" I said while smiling. "Yeah I know that HAHA, but hindi ko naman siya pinipilit sayo saakin lang para may makilala ka pang ibang lalake" sarkastikong sabi ni Joy. "Luh, anyways call me later when he's here. I'm gonna go back to my friends. Seeya!" I said with a big smile. "Oh and Congrats!" I said sabay tapik ng balikat niya.

I rush towards our table as I seen them. "Aya, anong sinabi ni Joy? She looks very excited with it" Cassey said as I sit down. "Uh, she just said that the guy she is chatting to me is going here now" I said sabay subo ng lasagna. "wew, is he good looking? oy Aya ah baka maging jowa mo yun ah" sabi ni Xia na dahilan ng pagtigil ko sa pagkain. "WTH?! diba nga hindi ako nagpapa loko sa mga lalake? Pshh. Di naman ako katulad sa iba na mabilis lang mahulog sa charms ng boys eh" sabi ko dahilan ng pagtawa nilang lahat. Eh totoo naman eh ayoko na. Simula noong nagbreak kami ng boyfriend ko nung 1st year. I'm not gonna let them break my heart again.

"Let's see.." sabi na naman ni Kylene. Nagpatuloy kami sa pagkain hanggang sa maubos din lahat ng toh.

Maraming tao nakatingin samin ngayon dito sa hallway. We're on our way to the gym. I think my family is waiting for me there. But I don't care.

"Abhaya! We're here!" Kaway ni ate Kaye with her big smile(fake). "Punta muna ako dun sa pamilya ko guys ah, seeya later" paalam ko sa friends ko.

"Congrats Aya!!" Sabi ni ate Kaye sabay hug sakin. "Uh, tha-thanks?" Sabi ko. "Don't be stupid Aya, we're trying to be generous here so don't mess with it" bulong sakin ni Mommy. Tss generous.
