Chapter 1~ Friendly Meetings and Horror Movies

I sat down at the small cafe on a rainy day, I was waiting there for about an hour already, but he still hadn't shown up. I saw an unfamiliar person walking toward me, it definitely wasn't the guy, but I'll admit, he was pretty cute. He had brown hair, his eyes were just as brown and beautiful as his hair, and he was really good looking. I looked around at the whole place, it was empty besides us, and a few workers who seemed to hate their lives. "What are you doing out here alone?" He asked "um I was supposed to meet someone for a date...but he never showed up." I sighed "what an asshole." He laughed. "Yeah." I laughed "I'm Alex, nice to meet you." He smiled "N-nice to meet you Alex, I'm Y-y/n." I said "nice to meet you y/n, that's a really nice name." He smiled and held out his hand for me to shake. I took it and noticed the rose tattooed on his hand "oh, I like your tattoo." I smiled "thanks." He answered. "I'd imagine you're very hungry, and that ass doesn't seem to be showing up." He answered "heh yeah." I answered. "So what do you want? I'll get it for you." He said "oh no, I got it." I said "no no, let me." He argued "okay fine." I said. "So, what do you do?" Alex asked "well um...I don't actually do that much, I usually just sit around falling asleep in an office." I sighed "what about you?" I asked "I sing." He answered "well that's cool." I answered "I have a terrible voice." I sighed "aw I'm sure that's not true." He answered. "It's very true." I answered "now pass the honey." I said "actually I was gonna use it." He laughed "guess we'll fight for it." I laughed and  started trying to pry it out of his hands accidentally spraying it on his shirt "nuu my shirt!!" He laughed "yay I got it!" I smiled. "I'll get you back y/n." He smiled. Honestly we had so much fun together, I didn't want to leave, but every good thing comes to an end. "See you around Alex." I smiled "well...I don't have to be with the others until later, how about I walk you back to your house?" He asked. "Oh, okay." I smiled. "So...about the others, who are they?" I asked "oh right, I forgot, I'm in a band with three other guys, they'd probably really like you." He said "cool." I answered "I don't wanna sound weird Alex...but do you believe in love at first sight or love in general?" I asked "I don't exactly believe in love at first sight, but I definitely do believe that love exists. What about you?" He said "I dunno, after all the way we met was through a failed attempt at love." I sighed. "A lot of things I do have failed." I said "I'm just a failure." I sighed "you aren't a failure." He said "how would you know?" I asked "just do." He shrugged.

Alex's POV

I really needed to keep the fact that I just met this amazing beautiful girl away from the guys, especially Jack. I could just hear it 'Ooo Lex has a lil crush' and then constantly be chased by Jack yelling that. I told her I don't really believe in love at first sight...but she might have changed that. I wanted to hold her hand and tell everyone she was mine and no one else's... I have a problem though, the more I think of something, the more I make my brain want to do it, and that's just what happened, I didn't even realize it when she held my hand back, and we were both an intense shade of red. "S-so...who's in your band?" She asked blushing "the other three guys names are Jack, Rian, and Zack." I answered still redder than a tomato. "The band is called All Time Low." I said. "So what kind of music do you make?" She asked "we make Alternative stuff." I answered "that's cool." She answered. "Honestly it's funny how much my voice has changed since we started." I laughed. "So um...when do you think we'll get to hang out together again?" She asked "soon hopefully." I smiled. "But if we don't, we'll keep in touch." I said and gave her my phone number "and if I don't answer you have the right to spam my phone with a random letter, and if we don't see each other anytime soon, I hope you remember this amazing day, and this." I said and kissed her cheek. I didn't want to let go of her hand, but it's about time I should go to band practice, maybe I'll stop by later though.

Your POV

I didn't really think that a day can go good after your date decides not to show up, but I guess my life can be pretty exciting at times, I didn't wanna leave the morning behind, but I was excited to see what would happen later. Maybe to get to know him better I could listen to some of their music. I looked them up and found their most popular song: Dear Maria, Count Me In, it's old, and even at that age Alex had such a good voice. After about an hour of listening to them, I might've found the best band, Alex had an amazing voice and every note he sang was a perfect fit for the song.

Alex's POV

When I got to practice today, everyone else looked so tired, but I felt on top of the world "why are you so happy today Alex?" Jack asked "um...heh no reason I just f-feel happy, and I met this really nice g- I mean I'm just really happy." I said "oooo you met a girl?!" Rian, Zach, and Jack said as they gathered around me "hey...she's pretty, but I don't really stand a chance with her...she was already on a date with someone but they never showed up." I said "nah, Lex gets who he wants." Jack smiled. "Anyways let's practice." I said.

Your POV

I can't wait for work to be over so I can go home. It's really crazy how one failed attempt at love turned into something great. "You seem pretty happy y/n." My only friend there said "I met this really cool guy earlier, that's it." I said "but he's really nice, really cute, and my god don't get me started on how great his voice is...the only problem is...he's famous." I sighed "so?" She asked "that already ruled out a chance." I said "who says that? If he has a good personality and isn't stuck up, he'll go with someone he likes, not with another famous person because he's famous." She said. "I guess." I answered. After what felt like an eternity, I finally got out of work. I went home and changed and sat around. It was around 7:00 when I heard the doorbell ring, I didn't expect him to be back already, but I wasn't complaining. "Hey Alex." I smiled "hey y/n." He said "what do you wanna do? There's never anything to do here though." I said "I guess we can just sit around and watch a movie or something." He smiled "alright, I'll start making popcorn." I said "you can pick the movie." I said "alright." He answered. When the popcorn was ready, I sat next to Alex on the couch, just great, he picked a horror movie. "Hey catch." I laughed throwing a piece of popcorn into the air instead it just bounced off his nose "no you catch." He laughed. "Hah I just beat you." I smiled when I caught it. "Not fair." He pouted "k fine." I smiled and dropped one in his mouth. The movie wasn't actually scary except for that one jump scare, the one that made me scream, throw the popcorn, and stuff my face in Alex's chest. "It's fake y/n." He said "but it's scary!" I yelled. "Alright, we don't have to watch it." He smiled and hugged me.

Alex's POV

Seriously, she's such a great person, like is it even possible to be that great? I guess it is. She rested her head on my shoulder. "I'm tired." She said "but more than likely I'm gonna have nightmares." She continued "then go to bed when it's out of your head." I said. "Okay." She said. "So...are we friends now?" She asked "of course." I smiled. "Cool." She said hopefully more than friends one day I thought. Fast forward four months, and we were an inseparable pair of best friends. "Hey stop being a fucker!" She yelled when we were playing video games "it's not my fault I'm good at this game." I said "I can break your neck right here right now." She laughed "you wouldn't do that now would you?" I asked "course not Lex." She said. After I finished whooping her ass at the game, we sat outside, we sat outside and talked about stuff, stuff like the future, and then she asked me a question "so...Lex, who do you like?" She asked "well...she looks a lot like you." I said "oh..." she sighed. Shit she got the wrong picture. "What else is she like?" She asked "she's an exact resemblance of you." I answered "her name?" She asked "y/n." I smiled "u-oh." She smiled. "I...I like you too Alex." She said. "But I...I don't know if it would be a good idea for us to be together." Y/N sighed "why?" I asked "you tour...A LOT." She said "I'm sure we could work something out." I smiled "I just...what if you find someone else while on tour?" She asked "um...of course not." I answered. I really wanted this...but I know how insecure she is. "Y/N...I promise nothing will happen." I said "well...I dunno...but I'll give it a shot." She smiled. "Aw...thanks y/n." I smiled "of course...I wanted this too...I was just worried about what could happen on tour." She sighed "I know, that's understandable...but don't worry about it." I smiled
