Chapter 42: Moment

It's already almost midnight and everyone was supposed to be asleep, except for Taeyeon who's still staring at the moon from her bay window in her room. Funny because most people prefer looking at the stars but no, not Taeyeon. She thinks that it's more peaceful to look at the bright full moon than those twinkling stars. Her eyes slowly left the moon and went back staring at her ring again.

She still couldn't believe it. She's engage but she hasn't finished school yet. If you're thinking she regretted that she said Yes..... Well a little since this isn't the right time, but it doesn't matter. She's not only engaged , she's engaged to the man she loves and she's 100% sure that he will love her forever and never left her.

Taeyeon almost throw her phone she's currently holding on her right hand when someone entered her room. It was dark and the only light was coming from her with window. That person accidentally tripped on something causing itself to fall on the floor. Too bad its face landed first.

"Didn't know you're a clumsy one" Taayeon said trying hard not to laugh at her fiancé.

Baekhyun groaned standing on his own. He removed a few dust on his shirt. Taeyeon gestured him to take a sit next to her as she moved her knees closer. Baekhyun took a sit on the other corner of the bay window. He slightly leaned towards the window making sure he wouldn't break the glass while Taeyeon rested her chin on her knees.

At first they were only watching the beautiful night sky in silent until Baekhyun said, "The stars are so beautiful." Taeyeon shook her head "Nah.. The moon's better."

Again silence and no one dares to speak. Why are we so awkward all of the sudden, Taeyeon thought.

She cleared her throat still looking at the moon "We're engage...."

"Still can't believe you said Yes," Baekhyun muttered.

"Well I did." Taeyeon but Baekhyun added "You didn't at first."

"But I still did, so forget about it. We're engage. I'm your fiancé. You're my fiancé" Taeyeon sighed heavily "What happens now."

Pretty much Taeyeon started to hate thinking about the future because she doesn't know if something good or bad is going to happen. Nobody knows about the future.

"So much for the party..." Taeyeon said obviously a little hurt. Baekhyun nodded his head in agreement. "Jessica left all of the sudden. And bad news Kris hyung didn't take it so well. Luhan hyung just left to go back to China. Tao is also leaving because his father forced him to go back to China as well." a tear fell from Baekhyun eyes and Taeyeon wiped it right away.

"Sorry.... Too bad I also have a bad news to say." Taeyeon took a deep breath preventing the tears to fall. "Sooyoung told me that she's going with her boyfriend, I don't know where. Seohyun wants to pursue her dreams being a famous singer. She got accepted and her company wants her to start training immediately so she had to leave next week." Taeyeon wiped her tears "T-Tiffany is also leaving. She's going to LA next three days."

Baekhyun doesn't know what to say. All he can do was to comfort her until she stopped crying and tell her that everything is going to be okay.

"We're gonna be fine. I promise. All we have to do is to be happy for them. That's what they want. Its their choice so there's nothing we can do about it." Baekhyun said holding her hand.

"I don't want the party to come to waste" Taeyeon said which gave Baekhyun an idea. And looks like this is the perfect moment to tell her.

"How about we turn that cliché party into our own engagement party." Baekhyun said and Taeyeon looked at him with widened eyes. "Are you crazy?!?!"

Baekhyun simply shook his head "No... I can talk to the principal. Well actually my parents know him that's why we're here and we decided to have college here." Taeyeon blinked her eyes still confused. "I talked to him after my proposal to you. To be honest he's a little disappointed because we haven't finished school yet but he's really happy for us and heck he even told me that he already expecting this to happened-"

"What?!"

"Well he heard a lot of stories around school."

Taeyeon rolled her eyes at this. Of course gossips never stopped. But something hit her to realization. She looked at Baekhyun who's already smiling.

"The party is before our graduation..."

Baekhyun moved closer still holding her hand " Taeyeon I know it's a little fast but I never been this so sure for my whole life. I love you. I want to be with you forever. Those three years without you was the worst. I don't want getting away from you. I know it sounds cliché but I can't live without you." Baekhyun took a deep breath "So will you marry me right after our graduation"

Taeyeon knows this is sounds stupid and very insane to other people out there but she felt the same way for Baekhyun. You can say your own opinion or bad stuff towards them but none of them cares.

Taeyeon nodded her head as tears streamed down on her face. Baekhyun closed the gap between them and kissed her.

As they pulled away Taeyeon wiped her tears. "But what about your career"

"Fans will understand" Baekhyun looked down. "I hope..."

Taeyeon gave him a reassuring and encouraging smile "Let's just hope for the best"

Baekhyun pulled her closer, not wanting to let go. He knows to himself that he's ready to spend his whole life with her.

They both pulled away when someone barged in the room ruining the moment. Taeyeon groaned frustratedly.

"Haven't you heard about privacy dear brother"

Subo scratched the back of his head saying "Sorry?"

"Hyung-"

"Baekhyun my man! So I expect you already told her... yeah?"

Taeyeon rolled her eyes "Yeah he just did. And guess what we're having a good time and currently we're having a moment until you came" Subo shrugged "Well I said I'm sorry" Suho took a sit on Taeyeon's neatly fixed bed.

"Are you guys sure you're ready? I mean I know it's not literally right after graduation but close after you graduated like-"

"Okay okay we get it..." Taeyeon cut him off "oh geez brother are you seriously crying now?!?"

Suho sniffed "My little sister is getting married. I wish you guys all the best"

"We're not even married yet"

"I know. It's just you're getting married first." Suho pouted rolling his eyes. "But hey, you're still working on the company"

"Of course"

Suho stood up and walk towards the door . He gave them a last wink before closing the door leaving the two engage couple to get back to their "moment"

"My brother is such a pain sometimes" Taeyeon groaned.

"Hey not really.. He's the most supportive person I know." Baekhyun said.

Taeyeon shook her head "Oh please I always saw him dancing to girl group dances and it gives me nightmares.... Especially Red Flavor"

Baekhyun laughed and pulled Taeyeon back to his arms. After a few hours staring at the moon and stars they slowly drifted to sleep in each others arms and yeah... They both dreamed about the same thing, a wedding that they could never forget.

And yeah it's finally summer. 9th grade was the worst but I manage to survive.
