Chapter 41: "YES"

Suho shut the door and saw his sister walking back and fort while messing her hair. She heave a sigh and gave up cussing herself. She wiped her remaining tears then stared at the window.

Suho cleared his throat which took her by surprise. "What happened back there?"

Taeyeon didn't reply. It went silent and none of them dared to speak until someone came in.

"Tae what was that about? Isn't that what you want? Why the heck did you say NO? Do you not like the venue? Do you hate the ring? Are you allergic to silver? Tiffany gasp covering her mouth " Or maybe you're a vampire!"

Taeyeon stood up and looked at her best friend in disbelief "Really Tiff?"

"Then why did you say no?" Suho repeated the question again.

Taeyeon gulped and shrugged "I-I don't know"

Tiffany scoffed crossing her arms "That's not the answer"

Taeyeon sighed in defeat "I panicked okay. I still can't accept the fact that Jessica left. And I love her and it reminded me what happened before. Baekhyun left me and you know how it hurts when someone you love just left you behind!"

So you're scared" Tiffany said and Taeyeon froze.

Suho was about to speak when Taeyeon cut her off too. "Oh don't give me an one hour lecture, you left me too. Same with dad and mom! You always left me behind!"

"Yah! I came back for you! And don't put our family issues here. This is about you and Baekhyun."

Taeyeon groaned and rolled her eyes at her brother. She took a deep breath looking outside the window. "What do you think should I do?"

Tiffany smiled and patted her shoulder "Go talk to him. And don't forget to give him your answer"

Taeyeon shook her head before looking back "I already gave him my answer"

Tiffany's smile immediately fades away and Suho's jaw dropped in disbelief. "WHAT!?"

"Wait a minute. So your answer is really NO!" Tiffany exclaimed "Why!?!?"

"Tae I thought you love him. So just because you're scared that your heart will be broken again, you're saying No?" Suho said as he look directly to her eyes "Baekhyun loves you with all of his heart and there's no way he would hurt you. But if he does, I will beat the shit out of him"

Tiffany nodded her head in agreement. "Your brother's right. Come on Tae, that kid never stop asking for my help to give you those surprises"

Taeyeon finally understands and realize that what she did was wrong. She loves him and if you love someone, you should never let go of that person because that person will always be by your side and love you forever.

"I am so stupid" she said to herself as she run to find her one true love.

Tiffany stared at her best friend from the window. She smiled after sighing in relief. "Okay. Next mission, Kris"

Baekhyun throw another pebble to the pond and sighed in frustration. He lay down on the grass and stared at the stars. Those stars that reminds him of Taeyeon. Her sparkling eyes, her beauty that shines like those stars, and she's the one who gives light on his dark world. Cheesy but that's the truth.

His heart dropped when he remembered what happened a while ago. Tears began to form and he can't help it but to let all those tears out.

He didn't notice that someone is already laying down beside him.

"So am I really that pretty?" Taeyeon said out of nowhere causing him to jump in surprise.

"You scared me!"

"Sorry" Taeyeon slightly laughed and took a sit beside him casually.

This made Baekhyun really confuse. A while ago she just reject his proposal. Now she's acting like noting happened.

"So.... Do you wanna talk about it?" Taeyeon said looking straight to his eyes.

Baekhyun shoot her a glare before looking away "Well, you're the one who rejected me. And clearly you really said no. N-O"

Taeyeon sighed with a hint of sadness because Baekhyun is really mad at her now. Of course she knows that it's her fault but you can't blame her cus' everything just happened so fast and she wasn't really thinking that time. Her mind was a mess and one of her best friend just left.

"I'm sorry" was all she can say.

Baekhyun finally looked back into her eyes. He froze as he saw her crying while staring at her feet. Taeyeon shook her head after wiping her tears away. She laughed bitterly looking up to watch the stars.

"Well it's nice talking to you though I don't know what are we really talking about." She stood up but Baekhyun pulled her back.

"Why did you say no?" he asked.

At first Taeyeon felt nervous with that question but since she's The Kim Taeyeon like how she called herself back then. If she wants something, she gets it. And what she wants right now is for Baekhyun to finally asked her that most wonderful question again and put that ring on her finger.

Taeyeon smirked "Ask me again"

Baekhyun gave her a confuse look "Why did you say no??"

Taeyeon rolled her eyes punching him playfully "Not that one silly" she chuckled.

"Then what?"

"You know what I mean Baek" she smiled and Baekhyun smiled back.

"If only you'll give me the answer I want"

Taeyeon nodded her head raising her right arm. "I solemnly swear..."

Baekhyun slightly laughed putting his arm around her shoulder pulling her closer. "I don't have the ring though. I kinda throw the box at Chanyeol after you walked out.

"Do I look like I care?" Taeyeon laughed holding his hand.

Baekhyun took a deep breath as he looked back to those eyes again while Taeyeon also did the same.

"Will you marry me Kim Taeyeon?"

Taeyeon smiled and said "Again, I'm sorry for running away a while ago. That was the stupidest mistake ever."

Baekhyun slightly laughed "Okay, okay just answer the question"

"Yes, Yes Byun Baekhyun I'll marry you!" She exclaimed throwing her arms around his neck before pulling him closer until their lips crashed.

They pulled away, both smiling lovingly. Baekhyun pulled her into a tight hug and Taeyeon hugged him back. This may not exactly the moment they wished for a proposal but this is more romantic. Just the two of them under the stars at night.

"This is not what I expected" Baekhyun said and Taeyeon agreed.

"Me too but for me... This is the most romantic and the best day of my life... For now"

Baekhyun kissed her lips but pulled away immediately causing Taeyeon to pout.

"Can't wait future Mrs. Byun."

"Mrs. Byun? Huh, I like it"
