14 years,in the vast world yet he only knew what was allowed to pass through the gates of his small house. Caged in emotions desiring to explore the world it was a matter of time for him to explode. A living time bomb. Michael a small Zimbabwean teenage boy who lived in the sunshine city namely known as Harare,was the son of a hardworking couple,the mother a nurse at a public hospital and the father a teacher at an elite high school in the city. He lived in the boundaries of rules which were given out by his mom and enforced by his dad.It was more like a dictatorship home and unfortunately he was the victim. All he knew were the harsh and strict words of his parents crossing paths in the small passage way of their cottage looking house. Orders after orders, complaints after complaints, demands after demands was his kinda lifestyle. As a 14 year old he became obsessed with video games to hide  from the pain he felt from inside and because of this he began to fall in his academics from being an A+ student to a C student.  His teachers started to pass complaints on his devastating fall, in great rage his father grounded him for 3 months, the terms of this were he would have to help out his father at his workplace after school. To his friends Angela and Gabriel this was an opportunity for him to mix and mingle with the rich and wealthy but to him it was the most terrifying thing ever as he thought through every ridiculous thing His father was going to force him to do. This would not only humiliate him but kill his dying out self-confidence. These thoughts he carried to the dinner table and to his bed,as he drifted away in his sleep he was caught up in a dream.In his dream he was cleaning his father's office as per command and a bunch of rich kids came laughing until he began to melt away like an ice block in the sun's heat and screaming for help. He finally woke up,looked at his watch which was at the wall of his disheveled room. It was 12:25am of the Monday he was going to  be his dad's helper after school. He tried to sleep over everything but he was sleepless and his horrendous dream kept flashing through his mind.What does it mean he began to wonder as his heart began to beat at a faster rate.He was at the edge of his nerve when finally he fell asleep.The next thing he heard was wakey wakey! The voice of his mother.He woke up did the normal preparations and headed for school. In the car he began to beg his father to give him another punishment but his father refused and said,"You should have chosen the right path and all this would not have happened,Unfortunately the path you chose has its consequences so be a man face them." They got to his school and ran out of the car without good byes because the words of his father  showed that he wasn't willing to forgive him without punishment
