Chapter 8 - Ring of Fire

Reika's voice rang throughout the field as she hears Kalana's story about Aren's Familiar. Kalana feels inspired by this but her story somewhat makes her friends think as funniest thing ever. Terra can't hold her laughter as she wipes her tears off.

"Is that true? Oh..." Terra begins to chuckle again.

"*Pant* Oh... Oh! This is rich! Our hotshot was none other than prissy!" Reika continues.

"Knock it off, guys! I mean... Even Piccolo actually notice him being stronger than us." Kalana being stern to them frowning her eyebrows.

"I mean... SERIOUSLY~? That guy was actually weaker than any of us." Reika holds her stomach as she's trying to take a breath.

"How can you be so sure? After all, he kicks your butt twice." Kalana frowning again.

"Oh really? When was the last time he beat me besides our little tourney?" Reika voice out sounding like a challenge.

"He won the singing contest." Kalana pointed out.

"Still count as prissy to me. Whaddaya' think Terra?" Reika asks her.

"Yup. Sounds like it anyway." Terra squinted her eyes along with a smile.

"Ugh... You... You guys are horrible!!!!" Kalana stomps off and walks into Goku's home.

"Uh-oh... She's going to call her 'clone'..." Reika teased.

Even though Kalana already leave them alone, nothing coming out except Goku exit and look over his house again.

"Wow, that kid pretty steam off... Wonder what's wrong?" He scratches his head in wonder.

"Yo, Goku!" Reika called him out.

"Oh hey! Have you seen Piccolo?" He asks them.

"Well, Kalana said he's with Aren, training him," Terra answered.

"Oh yeah, that Beerus'es pupil. How's he doing anyway?" Goku asked by placing his fist on either side of his hips.

"Pft, you've gotta hear this, Goku. Turns out Aren's Familiar is a Butterfly!" Reika said to him only ended by laughter.

"Wow, really?! He already had a Familiar?! That's awesome!" Goku seems excited hearing this, opposite from Reika's expectation.

"Err, why would that be great?" Terra asks him in confusion.

"Well, yeah his spirit animal is lame but think about how much strength he gained from his Familiar. No matter what kind of creature he had, the synchronization between both sides will greatly increase more to your strength." Goku explained to them deeply as he seen one of his student gain Familiar as well and felt it when he was training them.

Reika's face turns sour as she's suddenly stood up abruptly like a rocket and storm off to West City direction. Terra and Goku watch her trail as faded through the sky with a more quizzical look on their faces.

"What's wrong with her?" Goku asks her innocently.

"I guess... Reika hated when she hears Aren stronger than her... She had this hatred of guys a lot. Except for you guys." Terra getting the hint and explain to Goku.

"Huh? Really? Wow, she's just like Vegeta when he hated I become Super Saiyan God."

"That's... pretty understandable." Terra nodded.

Inside Kalana's room, she sat on the floor, looking around her for a bit and notice the paper she had crumpled yesterday. She read it again try to understand what Aren said and thought about understanding the weakness in themselves. She knew it just in there but she can't get a hint out of it. She crumples it back and tosses it behind only unaware Chi-chi entering the room. The paper hit on her forehead and landed innocently on a food tray. Chi-chi smiles and came to her side. Kalana jump as she saw her croaked ball on a tray but only to be read by Chi-chi.
