Riddle show

(A/n i..haven't seen season 4...but i gotta do my requests...sooooo don't kill me if it's weird.

Backstory =the reader was college student from "Lynchburg, Va" who best friends with both Lee Thompkins and Edward Nygma Lee already knew that the reader was madly in love with Ed (Since she first laid eyes on him at the GCPD) lee didn't want to do anything to ruin the friendship she has with the reader like stealing a guy from her (like she stole Jim from Barbara which caused Barbara to try and kill her) the reader already knows about Ed's split personality which caused her to fall in love with the riddler even though she was already in love with Ed (Inner Ed) the reader found herself to be in love with Edward Nygma and The Ridder. The reader was Lee Thompkins right hand woman since she opened up a clinic in the narrows )

I locked my best friend Lee in her clinic saying sorry and that i was going to shut down Ed's "show". I decided too confess my feelings regardless if my heart would get broken, even when i know Ed loves Lee.

So here i am standing in front of his club. I walked in just in time to see a man about to get tortured.

"Okay, that's enough" i said while walking trough the crowd.

Ed looked at me surprised but he quickly got over it and walked towards me.

"Y/n L/n,The right hand of Lee thompkins, and what brings you here?"

" Ed, i am here because, me and lee want to shut whatever this is down".

The crowd started to boo and yell.

"I don't think so, and my name is The Riddler" he smirked

"Fine" i walked past him and onto the stage.

"If i beat you, you shut this place down and if you win, ill spin the wheel of "misfortune" i yelled.

he chuckled and walked onto the stage.

"We have our next contestant!" Ed yelled.

The crowd went wild again.

I walked to where the last contestant stood.

"The right hand of the narrows thinks that this place should be shut down so let's show her what we got!". Ed walked towards the center of the stage and yelled.

"What time is it?!"

"RIDDLE TIME!" the crowd yelled at the top of their lungs.

Ed grabbed his hat while looking at me and then walked towards the center again.

the people in the crowd got quiet.

" I can be broken without being held,some people use me to deceive, but when delivered i am the greatest gift of all."

"What am i?"

The hourglass turned and i had about one minute to figure out the answer.

I started thinking. what can be broken without being held....when delivered i am the greatest gift of all....a promise!.

I looked up and said

"a promise"

Ed looked shocked but brushed it of and walked towards the center he stretched out his arms a.

i waited, either this was my win or my downfall.

He looked up and did a thumps up.

The crowd started to boo again.

Ed walked up to me and whispered in my ear.

"you won't stump me."

He walked towards the center.

"You have one minute to come up with a riddle."

I started thinking for a riddle that would stump him. there is one he won't say because of denial.

I walked toward the center and stood beside him.

"The time is up! i hope that you came you up with a riddle that will stump me the riddler."

"I have."

"Then ask away." he smirked and took two steps too the side.

i took a breath and finally said.

"What three words are said too much, meant by few ,but wanted by all?"

"That's your riddle?" Ed said

"Your kidding,right?" Ed said rather shocked.

"What's your answer?".

"it's i lo-" he hesitated.

he sighed and looked down for a second

"The answer is i love-" He heisted again.

" I love what Ed?" i said while taking a couple steps closer.

"That's not my name."

"Then what's the answer?"

" your trying to make up a love that isn't there."

"if it isn't there then say the words."

We stared into each others eyes.

"I won't say it."

The crowd started yelling and booing.

My eyes started to water. I looked towards the Hourglass and said.

"Time's up."

The crowd started clapping and yelled.

"Y/N! Y/N! Y/N!"

I walked past him, grabbed the money and walked out.

Riddler's pov

I stood there in shock thinking about the riddle.

Then i all clicked she had a crush on me and Ed from the beginning.

I realized my mistake and started to run after her.

Y/n's pov

Tears started to spill out my eyes as i walked towards Cherry's fight club to let Lee out of her clinic. When i was about to open the door into the building i felt arms grab my waist.

I turned around ready to punch whoever it was, but there in front of me i saw Ed.

"Y/n, i-"

"why are you here Ed? To mock me for loving yo-"

His lips slammed against mine, kissing me passionately. I started kissing him back.

He pulled away and said.

"We loved you from the start but, we didn't think you loved us back. we tried to stop loving you by making us believe that we loved Lee."

"Only Ed believed the lie but i never loved Lee."

"I only love you."

I stood there looking at him in shock.

He looked nervous as he said

"Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course i will!" i said happily and kissed him.

I pulled away after a minute.

"I have to get Lee out of the clinic!"

"Wait before you go, do you want to go on a date on Saturday?"

I smiled

"Sure."

He smiled and we said our goodbye's.

I rushed towards the clinic to get Lee out.
