By the time I'd gotten to the park, I made my decision. I sat down on a bench and watched some people walk around and play with their kids that were too young to be in school yet.
I wondered what it was like to have kids. The little mini versions of you running around your house, making messes, coloring on the walls, and getting to teach them all the wonders of the world with the person you fell so vastly in love with.
It was nice relaxing for once, but I had something I needed to take care of.
I snapped my attention from the happy families playing in the park and pulled out my cellphone along with the piece of paper I got earlier. I punched in the digits from the paper into my phone, then dialed the number and held it up to my ear.
One ring passed. Two rings. Three. Then a voice came through.
"Nova Vulcan speaking. How may I help you?" I chuckled lowly with venom in my voice.
"Is that how you answer all your calls?" I asked in a non friendly tone. He was quiet on the call for a few seconds and then he laughed.
"Nathan! How did you get my number, buddy?" He sounded surprised and friendly, but I knew it was fake.
"Cut the bullshit, Nova. I know who you are." I wasn't here to bullshit. I wanted answers. I know a lot more than I did at the beginning, but I don't know everything. A lot of things don't make sense.
"Who am I then?" He chuckled lowly. "The bad guy?" He was fucking with me. He wanted to make me angry. And, it worked.
"You are the bad guy! You're the one who started all this shit! Dave fucking told me what the fuck you did. What the fuck did Ash ever do to you?" I snarled into the phone. I heard a low chuckle come through.
"He exists and that's enough for me to have an eternal grudge on him. He's gotten everything I've wanted. Too bad he won't exist for much longer, though. Such a shame." He said the last part with a sarcastic sinister tone.
"You snake! What the fuck do you mean by that?!" I yelled. I got up from the bench I was sitting on and started walking. I couldn't stand still.
He made a 'hmm' sound and I heard rhythmic tapping from the other side of the line.
"All that time he was on his phone and he said it was nothing, he was texting me. All those times he would make up an excuse to not be near you, he didn't want you to see the bruises I left on his skin. Ever since I found out about him and how his life was so perfect aside from mine, I made it my goal to completely destroy his being in any way possible wether that be by my own two hands... or his."
Then, I realized. How could I be so blind.
"Where the fuck is he?!" I hisses deeply into the phone. Nova only chuckled dryly.
"He posted a picture from St. Adens Campsite over a cliff a few minutes before you so rudely called me. You didn't see it? Oh, right! He blocked you and everyone else. Such a shame he doesn't-," I ended the call quickly now that I knew where he was.
I called Christy and told her where he would be and told her to call the police. I was at a park that was very close to the campsite but Christy was more than an hour away.
I called a cab and started heading towards the campsite.
I just hope I won't be too late.
