Hey guys. I know some of you already read this. But it's updated and better now. Hopefully you'll reread it.
Jason's POV
"Captain America or Batman?" Asks Carter.
"Batman one hundred percent. It's only logical," I answer, "I mean without Cap's shield who even is he?"
He looks at me with complete disgust. "Well, sir, the talented Captain America is still a super soldier without his shield and could easily do without it. Batman however, is nothing without his gadgets."
He did not. "Batman, sir, is a billionaire, a genius, a skilled combatant, and an engineer. All captain America does is lead the avengers. Now Iron Man or Batman, that's a tough choice since they're cinematic parallels."
"You're a dork, you know that right?" He smirks.
"Sure. I'm the dork. Not you, the 4.23 GPA star student. Because that's logic." He shrugs. "So, how was the great watery grave?"
We sit in the sun baking as he goes on and on about the cruise he recently took with his second closest friend: Madison Montgomery. Our city's resident rich bitch. "I got burned so bad I thought I had skin cancer. I had to sleep standing up for like three days. Have you heard from Julia?"
Julia Anne Stevens. The newest love interest in my many days. "She's enjoying her trip. She did say that some neighborhoods she's past were less than ideal to pass through but she prayed for them. She's tired of Europe though. She thought that Paris would be great, but what use is the city of love without your love?"
"Sappy." He makes a vomiting motion. "At least she's thinking about you. It's gotta be nice to be appreciated. Imagine, if someone loved me."
I punch him in the arm. "You're loved dipstick. You'll find the right gal eventually."
"Maybe I'm asexual." He says with a gasp. "Duhn duhn duhhhhhh."
"First off loser, asexual doesn't mean no attraction, just not sexual attraction."
He squints. "How would you know?" He holds his hand up to me as if holding a microphone. "Answer the question Mr. white." He laughs as I slap away his hand. The door opens and my sister sticks her head out.
"Mom wants to know what you guys want on your pizza. Unfortunately the world will split because you two have to share."
Carter and I look at each other and gasp. "We have to....agree?!" We laugh.
"We'll take Hawaiian." I say.
"You heathen. We'll take pepperoni." Says carter.
I stand and strike a ninja pose. "Hawaiian."
Carter follows suit. "Pepperoni."
Abby sighs. "I'll be inside. Hurry up and decide, I'm hungry." She shuts the door as carter and I fake fight. I grab him by the waist and lift him over my shoulder. "Hawaiian!" I shout while tossing him in the pool.
"You dick!" He swims to the edge with his hand extended. "Help me out you jerk. Now I'm cold." Guilt takes me over.
"Sorry Carter." I take his hand and help him out. He shakes off the water.
"Now," he says, "Pepperoni!" He shoves me into the water as he takes for the door.
I get to the door as he closes it and faintly hear him say pepperoni to my mother. He opens the door with a smug look on his face. "Carter -1. Jason -0."
I glare at him. "Remember who's room you'll be staying in bud. Sleep with one eye open."
Dinner arrives after a grueling hour of waiting. Carters sister, Sarah, comes over as well. It's only been three weeks since carter left, but I missed these nights. As we grab our pizza my mom slaps many hands away from her garlic knots. "So carter, how was the cruise? Jason tells me you almost got skin cancer?"
