ch 18: Thoughts

The days passed and Kabir and I were not talking. Tej, Arjun and navya tried to explain Kabir that it was there fault. They didn't even tried explaining me that Kabir was right because they knew I didn't do anything wrong.

In the office
I was in my cabin trying to think about my old receptionist. Where is she? How is she? But my thoughts were Interrupted by my HR Elisha .
"Ma'am I have many biodata with me and I have selected few out of them. Would you like to see because you told that you want to choose. " Elisha said.
" Yeah just keep it on the table. I will see " I said.
" Okay ma'am " she said and went out of the cabin.
Soon Arjun came inside and sat there working for few minutes. Then he just started staring at me.
" Pia are you okay?" He asked.
" Yeah I am " I said while rubbing my head.
" Aha.. caught ya" he said while smiling.
" What?" I said.
" I know what is happening to you" he said.
" Wow achievement" I said.
He pressed his lips and asked " pia what is bothering you?"
I said nothing and pretended I am not listening.
" Is it Kabir ? Oh.. come on pia I am used to of  your behaviour " He asked and agained pressed his lips.
" What behaviour?" I asked.
"You know this one pretending you are not listening but I know you are listening." He said with a smile.
"Bullshit" I said.
"Pia what's it ? Kabir ? You miss him right? You want to talk to Kabir?" he said.
" yeah boy it's one of the reason. You actually caught me. I miss him. I want to talk to him. " I thought in my head.
" Umm.... No no " I said.
" Pia are these bio datas? " he asked while pointing at the file.
" Yeah. My company needs a new receptionist. You see we don't have one. You know after barkha....
" Ohh yeah yeah" he said while interrupting me.
I took the files and started looking at them . I choose few out of them with half heartedly beacuse I genuinely wanted barkha back.
"Pia you seriously look bothered" he said.
" Arjun what is your problem? Why do you care? " I said in anger.
"Beacuse you are pia." He said while smiling.
"Huh?" I said.
" Pia you know....
"No I don't know " I said frustrated.
" Uff... Because you are pia. Pia the girl who gave me a smile  on her birthday and that pia who is wearing her birthday gift which was given by me." He said and winked.
"Umm..
"Look at you nervous pia" he said and started laughing.
"Shut up. If you remember I am still angry with you beacuse you read my personal diary" I said.
" Yeah I know sorry . I mean it pia I am actually sorry" he said.
"What have you read from my diary?" I asked.
"Um... I need to go. Excuse me  " he said and left.

I saw him walking  away. I knew he have read something. Something which I don't want anyone to know. The secret I am hiding. The fear which everyday I go through. I know he knows something.

After 1 hour
I gave Elisha the  few receptionist which I would like to offer the job and went home.

At home
" Hey pia " Navya said with a smile.
"Hmmm.... Hey " I replied very sadly.
"Hey are you okay? You don't look good."Navya said.
"Umm.. it just my ex receptionist Barkha you remember?" I asked.
" Yeah offcourse she was so sweet" she said.
" I want her back. I can't think of anyone else on that position. She deserves it."I said and went inside my room.
While I was laying down on my bed I started thinking that my diary and what Arjun have read.

Flashback
11th March 2022
I woke up smiling because finally I was home but one thing that is missing is Justin Payne my love. My phone ranged. It was Justin.
" Good morning baby" he said.
" Good morning . Ohhh you dont know how much I have missed your American accent ." I said while hugging the pillow.
He laughed and said " love you girl you are mine"
"Love you two. Now I need to go" I said.
" Okay girl bye" he said.
I smiled of the thought he and me forever.
Every thing was perfect until I told my dad that I am celebrating my birthday with my school friend. He is so angry. He started yelling and scolding me.
" What do you mean by you will not be celebrating the birthday with your family." He shouted.
" Dad the plan was made weeks okay and since when do you care about my birthday." I said.
" Since when ?? Are you serious pia. I care about your birthday from the day you were born." He shouted.
" No dad that's not the truth. I am celebrating my birthday with my friends" I said.
"We will see how will you go" he challenged me.
" Yeah you will" I said.
The fight started for 2 hours and then I went downstairs .
