Justin rushes me into the ER. I am about to faint from blood loss. A nurse runs over to us and brings me in back, not even checking me in. The other patients give me a dirty look, almost like they want to kill me. That's when I black out.

I wake up with a breathing mask around my mouth. Lily is there.

" Lily, what's going to happen to me?" I ask her.

" It's okay baby, just hang in there. You are getting prepped for the O.R. to get the bullet removed and fix up any other damage there might be."

I black out again and I can't feel anything. I can hear everyone talking then feel the bed moving, but I can't feel my body. Is this what death feels like? It's so peaceful.

All of a sudden I am hooked up to a bunch of machines.

I can hear the doctor's say, " Okay, it's time to make the incision."

A nurses voice comes by my ear and says, " We are just going to cut open your shoulder to retrieve the bullet and fix the damaged muscle. Don't worry this procedure should only take about 2 to 3 hours to do."

Two to three HOURS!!! How much damage did that bullet do. I want to tell her I understand by saying or moving something but it is like I am paralyzed. I am freaking out! Why can't I moved? I'm scared!

" Relax your muscles sweetie. It will only make the pain and healing worse."

I relax my muscles as she tells me to. I am still terrified but there is nothing that I can do to stop the surgery from happening.

" Finished cleaning wound, now making the incision," the surgeon's voice says. He sounds male.

I feel a slight tingle at where I think the doctor is making the incision. I just hope he sterilized it first. What is that tingling? I mean I think it's near where the bullet hit.

" Give her more pain meds to relax. She is tensing up again," the surgeon's voice booms the order.

I feel a slight trickling warmness as I am sucked into oblivion.
