Melody's POV

"Attention all students, please report to the auditorium for welcoming speech," a voice said through the speakers "Thank you."

"Hey, lets go." I patted Daniel on the back.

"Um.. yeah, lets go." he said snapping out of his trance. He had been staring at my birthmark since he walked in the room, which was pretty weird.

"So which way is the auditorium?"

"Its on the second floor." he said leading me towards the elevator. "I'll drop you off."

"Aren't you going?"

"I am the vice-headmaster's son, I am supposed to be on stage with my dad and Headmaster Rosen." he said. So Daniel Herrera was the vice-headmaster's son, huh? He could come in handy, to get some information.

"Oh, ok. Will Dylan be up with you, since he is the Headmaster's son?"

"How did you know Dylan was the Headmaster's son?" he asked.

"Um.. well he said his last name was Rosen so I just guessed that they were related." I came up with excuse quickly. Phew.. that was a close one!

"Ok then. Well here we are." he said pointing towards a blue door. I walked in and saw Celeste sitting near a crowd of guys waving at me. I approached her and sat down.

"Welcome." the man who was standing on the stage said "I am Headmaster Rosen." Even though my mom and my uncle were twins they looked nothing alike, well I guess that's why they call them fraternal twins. Usually all the men in my family inherit my great grandfather's dark hair, while the women inherit my great-grandmother's eyes. My great-great grandfather founded Rivercrest which trained men to become well.. spies. Even then spies existed. My great-great grandmother who was his sister thought it was unfair for only men to become spies and founded Chamberleigh, she decided to say that the school was a school for training young ladies. The school was supposed to teach young ladies, how to become sophisticated and such, while really they were infiltrating enemy bases, learning combat skills, several languages and dialects, how to handle arms, and a whole bunch of stuff that people thought women shouldn't learn. That caused a brother - sister conflict, and when they got married and had kids, they passed the schools down to their children, great-great grandmother Franny passed it down to my great grandmother Esther which got passed down to my grandmother Poppy which passed it down to my mom, which will pass it down to me and the same thing happens to the male side. Dylan will inherit Rivercrest and I will inherit Chamberleigh, the only way for somebody else to inherit the schools is for something to happen to the headmaster and their child. Let's say that Dylan were to die that would mean that the spot would be given to the vice-headmaster's son, which would mean Daniel would inherit it. In my case if I were to die (knock on wood) Rachelle Wooderville (we are mortal enemies >.< which sucks due to the fact that we are mission buddies, yeah life is cruel, but at least Celeste is also in our group.) would inherit the school.

"And this is my son Dylan Rosen." he said as Dylan walked towards the front of the stage and forced a smile and sat back down "How many of you know what our school really is?" A couple of people raised their hands. "Our school is known for training the most successful men, but what we really do is train spies." he said. A couple of oooo and ahhh's were heard "Our spies are the best of the best. We have done several infiltration missions and rescue missions and succeeded in every single one. "We always are on top of our rival Chamberleigh, which is a spy school for girls, which is directed by my sister Headmistress Rosen." You may be wondering why they still have the same last name, but being a spy usually doesn't help with relationships. They are both divorced. I still see my dad every once in a while because once he got a divorce he decided to move to a quiet and not so populated city in the middle of nowhere. No telephone reception, no internet, the nearest shopping center is 15 miles away, and the airport is about 24 miles away, every teenagers nightmare but for me it is like a vacation. "Our school teaches you the basics: math, reading, science, and social studies, but it also teaches you: self-defense, fitness, languages, stealth, health, disguises, and much more that is needed to be a successful spy." He spoke for like about 3 hours which I must be honest I fell asleep after the first hour but Celeste fell asleep after 15 minutes.

Daniel's POV

I glanced at Carlos from the stage. He/she had fallen asleep. I couldn't blame her/him because well these welcoming speeches were boring and usually put at least half of the students to sleep. I had to get to the bottom of why she was here, and what she wanted, but how? Who was Carlos really? I had a plan on how to find out, but it would require some help. All I needed was to get him/her out of the room for about 3 minutes so I could check her/his stuff.
