Tyler twirls in an elegant fashion, her dress flowing and moving around her.
"How do I look?" her voice cracks, the hormones working.
"You look gorgeous, girl!" I grin at her. She spins around to the mirror, looking down her body and how it looks perfect in the slender pink dress. I watch her do her dance, with such grace and beauty.
The clambering of doors in other fitting rooms are softly heard through our tiny room. Footsteps of other girls trying on dresses fade by. The shadows of their legs creep their way under the door and are swallowed by the overwhelming shadow of the room.
Sitting on the stool, I bite my nails, chipping away little bits and pieces. Tyler flattens out the front of her dress and fixes her bra.
"This thing still doesn't fit me yet," she complains with a pouty expression. I laugh at the thought of Tyler growing big boobs. "Hey, don't laugh at me!" I stand up and hug her from behind, pushing her towards the mirror.
"You don't have to have breasts to be a woman, you know," I smile at her, "look, you're already so beautiful."
"No, I'm not.." she trails off, hanging her head slightly and looking down. I turn her around to face me, both hands on her shoulders and staring into her deep crystals.
"You. Are. Gorgeous." I say sternly and hug her tight. She wraps her arms around my waist and we stay there for a bit. I know she doesn't believe me, but it's a personal goal of mine to make her see the beauty that she shows. I'll tell her every day that she's beautiful, even when she gets tired of it.
After a while, Tyler grumbles out "I probably need help getting out of this." I giggle and pull away from her tender embrace. She tries pulling the simple fabric over her head and wiggles. Stuck in the pink silk she whimpers "Kendaaaaall... I'm stuck."
Pulling the dress off over her head, I slowly take it off and we come face to face. My heart skips as her face appears to be getting a dark shade of red. There's an awkwardness floating in the air that feels both wrong but right. I drop the dress, slowly pulling Tyler closer to me. Her red face comes nearer to mine. Everything becomes a blur. A gentle blur. I slowly open my eyes and see her face in front of mine, suddenly feeling our lips intertwining. Fuzzyness consumes me as I hold her tight, kissing me ever so gently and sweet... I could stay like this forever.
But forever isn't long enough.
