Chapter 17: The Weapons Known As Shinobi

"Naruto... I want you to kill me."Haku repeated again as he step forward while Naruto step backward with me along side him. "Please, make it quick." Haku requested softly.

"What are you hesitating for?" Haku question when he saw Naruto hesitation.

"I JUST DON'T GET IT! The only reason you are allowed to live is because you stay strong?" Naruto asked furiously.

"There much be something other than just fighting. There must be some other way for you to make the other accept you!" Naruto said, trying to reason with Haku as well.

"Remember when we met at the forest? Do you know what thought?" Haku asked. "That you and I are much alike." This caught Naruto by surprised.

"I'm sure you can relate to me." Haku said when Naruto didn't answered.

"I apologize for dirtying your hands with my blood." Haku apologize to Naruto as I realized that there we're never be able to change his mind.

"Is that it? Is there really no other way?" Naruto asked Haku sadly.

"No." Was Haku's only reply.

Naruto gritted his teeth's together in frustration before closing his eyes. "If only...we had met under different circumstances, we could've been friend." Naruto said as he snap his eyes opened and quickly pull out his own kunai then ran toward Haku.

I rush over to Sasuke and gently took his hand into mine as I sit on my knees next to his body, staring at it sadly before turning back to Naruto only to see Haku stopping Naruto's attack.

"Forgive me, Naruto..." I heard Haku said before he made one hand seals. "I can't die yet!" Haku told as he disappeared.

I gasp. Where did he go?! I thought shocked while looking around and then I suddenly felt a shockwave. What was that?!

I sense Haku's chakra and turn to see him stand in-between Kakashi-sensei and Zabuza.

As he was covered in blood while holding Kakashi-sensei's hand that was at his chest. Haku sende Zabuza was in danger. I was shocked as I pieces everything together.

I gasp as Zabuza was about to slash Kakashi-sensei with Haku. "KAKASHI-SENSEI!" I shout out, trying to warn him.

But Kakashi-sensei grab Haku's body and bodge Zabuza's sword before it could hit them.

I watch as Kakashi-sensei lay Haku down.

I ignored everything around me as I look at Sasuke. Why did this has to happen to the best of people, huh Sasuke. I could feel my tears start to build as I stared at his body with a painful expression.

I heard foot step and look up to see Sakura. "Huh?!" I saw the shock expression on her face when she saw my painful expression an Sasuke's body while Tazuna looked away.

I watch as Sakura fall down on her knees across of me while shakily reach out to gently caress his cheek and rubbed it softly.

"He's cold." Sakura whispered to herself but I heard her. "This isn't a genjutsu, is it?" She asked to no one.

"No Sakura, is not a genjutsu." I told her.

"Don't mind me. This isn't the time to hold back your emotions..." Tazuna tell us, looking at both me and Sakura.

"I-I always got perfect scores at the Ninja Academy..." Sakura said, causing Tazuna to look at her curiously. "I memorized all the hundreds of shinobi rules. All the tests were a breeze. Until one day this question came up... State rule #25 of the Way of the Shinobi... As always, I simply wrote down the answer without batting an eye." I look at Sakura as she try to hold back tears. "A Shinobi must never show his true feelings, under any circumstances, no matter what... The mission always comes first. A ninja must have the strength of character never to shed any tears..." Sakura finishing sodding now.

I gently reach out and put my hand on her shoulder causing to snap her head toward me. "Let it out." I simply said as my own tears slide out of my eyes.

Sakura looked at me for a moment before turning back to Sasuke. "Sasuke..." She whispered as she drop onto his chest, bursting out crying.
