2 years later*
"Zahra come down have breakfast you'll be late for university" mom yelled for the hundredth time
I got out of the bed exhausted why don't anyone leave me alone

I came out of the bed and showered , changed into black tights and wore a knee length frock put on my hijab and came at the dinning table. when I settled down my aunty kissed my forehead. After dad's funeral we are living with my aunt and her husband they both are really sweet and cooperative
I had my breakfast and bid them goodbye
"zahra" mom called while I was about to get out of the house "remember what I talk to you about yesterday?  You are not seem to be working on that"
"what mama? "
"you look rude listen why don't you understand we are living in someone else's house. They always complain about you not talking much to them. They think that you are showing attitude to them" my mom whispered so no one else could listen to her
"I don't have any attitude problem for Allah sake I love them and respect them alot. I'm getting late we'll talk about this when I'll come back " I kissed my mom's cheek and went to university

I didn't know what everyone wants from me at first they used to say that I'm a spoiled brat my dad had spoiled me through his love I didn't have any sense to talk to anyone and now when I mind my own business and got a hold on my tongue, they seemed to be even getting offended of that
SCREW EVERYONE

I halted in front of my university parked my car and attended my classes. On my way back to home in the evening my friend accompanied me "oooo I want something just like this turuuuu turu" Ayesha was singing the song along with the radio
I just smiled at her realising that there was a time when I was at her place just like her I used to know every song weather its Urdu, Punjabi or English while being this carefree
But time change and you have to change yourself according to that
But I prayed that Ayesha would never loose her innocence and bubbly nature just like I did

"stop at the pharmacy we need to pick some pain killers remember?" Ayesha reminded me
"I completely forgot that" I said

I stopped in front of the pharmacy and we both went in. The pharmacy was loaded with bundle of people ayesha went forward while I remained at the back
"son will you just give me some space I'm standing here for about an whole hour my legs are hurting"
I saw on old lady may be in her 70s saying to a man
"I can't " he spat
" please I'm requesting you" the lady pleaded
"I'm Sorry I Said I can't Why Don't You Understand? A No Means A No"
He shouted at her
The lady jerked back and was almost about the stumble and fall but fortunately balanced herself with the help of her stick

What the hell is wrong with this idiot
I swear I never got this disgusted to anyone in my whole life. I'll kill him. Freaking idiot I proceeded toward the lady held her my her arm and seated her on the bench that was on a corner of the pharmacy I took her medicine slip and gave it to Ayesha
Thankfully the medical store was Ayesha's father so we were given the medicines before anyone else

Ayesha came back with that old lady's medicine and gave it to her while I was on the other hand staring that guy with full rage I swear I'll kill him.
I'm the mean time he called someone
Talking on the phone for a while he nodded and break the queue went on front of the counter showed the receptionist something on his phone and bought his medicines now I was more disgusted my the system

The old aunty was crying siting on the bench when ayehsa asked her what happened she told that she is alone as her children left her she lives alone and when that young man whom she seeked help misbehaved, she got sacred and felt like she would pass out any moment
I knew old people are delicate just like kids that's why it's obligatory on us to take care of them and show them respect

I saw that man getting out of the pharmacy he can't leave like that he own an apology to someone

"excuse me? " I blocked that guy way
"what? " he asked and looked at me confused
"I'm sorry to disturb you but a couple of minutes before you misbehaved with an old lady. I think you should apologise to her as she really got hurt by your words" I tired to realise him his mistake
But I found his eyebrows twiching and his lips forming in a thin line
"you know who I am? " he said
Ooooookay I knew where it was going "no and I really am not interested in knowing" I gave him my *i don't give a damn* look
"Do you know whom are you arguing" he again said this time more like a warning
"I think you knew , whom were You talking, while raising your voice on an old lady" I spat at him and was astonishingly proud on my comeback
He stared at me and remain quiet for a while YOHOOOOO
rocked it Zahra I smile plastered on my face
Do you have any idea whom are you talking to? " he hissed at me while giving me a smirk like I'm some kind of a little creature whom he can crush anytime
"I don't give a shit about who you are.. just apologise to that old lady" I shouted at him while giving him a stern look, he was irritating me by repeating the same mantra

He looked at me shocked
"you'll pay for this bitch I swear you'll regret this" he warned me while loosing every inch of patience he had and walked away
he was about to move out of the door when I yelled " I can imagine how much your parents regret having a son like you who has no shame and respect even for his elders Do you even use this kind of tone with your mom? "
The volcano inside him erupted and he started to take long strides towards me
In a reflex I started walking backwards.......Okay .........sorry sorry. you shouldnt have said that Zahra my sub conscious told me
But luckily a guy behind him stopped him he was with him all this time but I failed to notice they went out of the store while I was calming my breathing I knew I fought a random guy over a random topic
I may seen to be brave but trust me I got scared when he strided towards me just like a coward I was few years back. when i refused to look at my dad's face for the very last time.....
