Galra Keith

The battle (keith pov)

The entire team was fighting Haggar and lord Zarcon. Keith was in a close combat with both Zarcon and Haggar because Shiro and Pidge were knocked out, while Hunk and Allura were fighting the battle ships in space. Lance was heading to where Keith is because he knew that he needed help. As soon as lance got to the room where Keith was fighting Haggar and Zarcon, Keith was thrown across the room and rammed him against a glass container of quintesents, spilling the whole batch over him.
"AGGHHHHH!!"
Keith yelled, obviously in pain. Lance ran over to him while defending himself. Once he reached Keith, he put up a shield and cradled Keith in his arms. Lance looked at Keith's face that was dripping with quintesents.
"Guys! Keith was thrown across the room and had a batch of quintesents poured on him while fighting Haggar and Zarcon!"
Lance said into the intercom.
"What!"
Hunk exclaimed,
"We need to get him out of here!"
Lance yelled. Haggar has disappeared and left Zarcon to deal with us. Zarcon approached as slowly and Lance got his bayard out. Just before the two attacked, I jumped out of Lances arms and tackled Zarcon, putting my arms around his neck and squeezing. Zarcon slowly turned blue and began gasping for air. He tried to pry me off but I wasn't going anywhere. Zarcon fell to his knees and went silent, though I didn't let go until I was sure he was dead.
"We need to get Pidge and Shiro out of here while we still can."
I said, heading to Shiros limp body. Lance nodded and went over to where Pidge was. We picked up the green and black paladin and headed back to the castle. On the way there, Lance asked
"Keith, are you feeling okay? You seemed to be in a lot of pain when the quintesents were poured on you and I'm not sure what they're going to do to you."
After a few seconds i answered back
"I'm fine Lance, it didn't do any damage or anything so I'm perfectly fine. In fact, I feel even better then before."
It wasn't a full lie, I did feel a lot better, but the quintesents did do something to me. Something that would change me, forever. When we got back to the castle we put Pidge and Shiro into a pod to let them heal.
"Keith, I want to make sure you're okay so can we go to the infirmary so I can test you."
Lance asked. I nodded, knowing that there was no getting out of this. Before we left the room we heard two PSHHH and then Shiro and Pidge stepping out of the pods.
"That was unexpectedly fast,"
I said to Lance, who just stared at them.
"No kidding."
We informed Shiro and Pidge of what happened and said that we were going to the infirmary to make sure that I was alright. Pidge and Shiro decided to tag along. We ran into the others and they also followed us into the infirmary, not knowing what the quintesents would do to me. Pidge got some computers running and started to take blood samples and test my brain activity. After a while Pidge stopped and said
"Now all we have to do is wait for the results."
The results would come in a hour so we all went our separate ways. I decided to train because if I got one thing from the battle, it was that I'm not good enough. I was able to get to level six before Pidge came on the intercom saying that the results had come in. When I got to the infirmary, everyone else was there. I sat down in a empty seat and looked to Pidge, who began talking.
" Keith is mentally and physically fine with only a few minor bumps and scrapes. He seems to be normal except for one thing."
Pidges voice became slightly smaller and we all leaned in to hear what she was saying.
"It seems that he's now three quarters Galra and is slowly turning into one."
She showed us a screen displaying a number that was slowly going up.
"80% Galra"
Shiro said, in a small and sad tone. I couldn't believe my eyes, I was 80% Galra now? But how? Why? When? Then i remembered. It was Haggar. She had zapped me with her lightning before throwing me into the quintesents, she must've cast magic on me. Suddenly, I felt my heart skip a beat, literally. I grabbed my chest and looked around. I saw moving blobs and muffled voices trying to grab me. I fell unconscious.

When I woke up I was in my room on my bed. I looked around and saw all my friends looking at me worriedly. I sat up and their eyes lit up.
"Agh, what happened?"
I said in a small voice. Holy crap. What was with my voice, it sounded silkier, kinda like a cat. I touched my throat and felt soft fuzz.
"HOLY CRAP AM I A FURRY!?"
I scream. I was literally a cat, I had ears, a tail, fur, and from what I saw, claws. The others snickered and shook their heads.
"Keith, you're not a furry. It seemed that becoming a full Galra is extremely stressful so you go into a comatose state until you turn full Galra. You've been asleep for three weeks."
Allura explained. She looked tired, so did everyone else. She sighed
"Keith, you're now a full Galra."
That surprised me. The others looked at me with extreme confusion, then their eyes widened.
"What?"
I questioned, looking in the mirror. I saw that I wasn't Galra anymore, I was Altean. How was this possible?
"What happened?"
I asked, looking for answers. Pidge moves her glasses into a more comfortable position before typing in her computer.
"It seems that the Galra side went down, but wasn't replaced by human genetics. It looks like the Galra DNA was replaced by Altean DNA. You still have 1% human DNA, 49% Altean DNA, and 50% Galra DNA."
We were stunned. How did this happen? Why am I able to change back and forth? Who are my real parents? Who am I? The room seemed to spin around at the speed of light while I sat shocked beyond my core on my bed.
"How is that possible?"
Someone asked, probably Allura.
"Galra DNA seems to be directly linked to Antean DNA so it's a safe guess to say that whenever Galra lose and DNA, Altean DNA replaces it. I'm not sure if it works the other way around but we know it works this way."
Pidge kept talking about random DNA facts and how I am able to shape-shift but I kinda tuned her out. For some reason my eyesight was really blurry, though I assume it's the tax on my body that Pidge was talking about. After a hour the others left Pidge rambling to me.
"The quintesents-"
"Hey Pidge,"
"Yeah?"
"I think my Altean version of me needs glasses"
"Really! This is great! Okay I'll be right back so stay right here!"
I did as she said and after a few minutes Pidge reappeared in my doorway holding a pair of glasses.
"Here you go!"
Pidge said cheerfully. I took the glasses from her hand and put them on. I suddenly could see the way I'm supposed to and I thanked Pidge. She smiled and said bye and walked away. I decided to read a book because I didn't really feel like training with my body like this. After about a hour I heard a knock on the door
"Come in!"
I said and the door opened, Lance walked in.
"Wow..."
He said when he looked at me. I was cuddled up on my bed with five blankets surrounding me. I was in my Altean form so I was wearing my glasses, and I was reading "How to Kill a Mockingbird". It was a little warm so I had my hair up and my black shirt on, I had put my jacket over on a hanger next to the door.
"I was not expecting this..."
Lance trailed off, staring at my face.
"Why are you wearing glasses? You don't need them, do you?"
"I need them in my Altean form, apparently I have bad Altea eyes."
I answered back without looking up. After a few seconds of silence I looked up. Lance was staring at me in awe with his mouth slightly open. I blushed at his stare and Lance snapped out of it.
"Right, so I was told to tell you that dinners ready."
I nodded,
"I'll be there in a few minutes."
I told lance. He walked out of the door.
Lance POV

"Pidge! What the hell!?"
Pidge sat at the dining room table when I walked into the room.
"You know how I feel about glasses! Why would you do that?!?"
Hunk and Shiro were already at the table and were snickering while trying to cover their smiles.
"He said that he couldn't see, what else was I supposed to do? Let him be blind?"
"YES!"
Now Allura and Coran has come in and we're extremely confused about why Lance was yelling.
"Lance, what's wrong?"
Allura asked, noting how Shiro, Hunk, and Pidge were holding back laughs.
"Pidge put glasses on Keith because he said he couldn't see in his Altea form but Pidge knows very well how I feel about glasses!"
"Lance, you don't mean..."
"YES! I HAVE A FETISH FOR THEM, OKAY!?"
At that moment Keith decided to walk in and just stood there awkwardly.
"Did... did I hear that right?"
Shiro, Hunk, and Pidge all burst out laughing while Allura and Coran smirked. Lance was a blushing mess with the unexpected sight of Keith in glasses and Pidge decided to use this.
"You see Keith,"
Pidge said, trying to hold back laughter
" Lance has a fetish for glasses and when he saw you in them-"
Lance cut her off before she could say anything else. Keith had already heard what he needed to though.
"Wow, Okay, ummm..."
Keith didn't seem to know what to say making him twirl his thumbs and bite his lip. It was absolutely adorable! Wait, Lance! You don't like Keith! He's just wearing glasses that you may or may not have a fetish for and plus it's not like Keith will stay in his Altea form all day. Except he did, Keith didn't know how to change between forms and stayed in his Altea form all day. Pidge wanted to test something out and asked me to help her. I agreed reluctantly and followed her to the lobby.
"Keith! I need to talk with you!"
Pidge Shouted across the room to where Keith was and he nodded. Keith then began following Pidge next to me and we just walked extremely awkwardly next to each other. Pidge turned around a corner into a dark room. She allowed me and Keith to enter first and followed behind. Pidge then put a powerful smirk on her face, grabbed my arm, and pulled me to Keith. Out lips touched. I fell on top of him as we kissed. Pidge started taking a video as Keith began to change into his Galra form. Keith's lips were soft and I had to hold back the urge to move my lips. I pulled away quickly and so did Keith, both of us gagging.
"Pidge! What the hell!?"
I yelled, turning my attention away from the lingering softness on my lips to Pidge who was now rewatching the video.
"One: I'm so going to show this to the others,
Two: this was for my data. It seems that Keith changes his forms when exposed to any sort of emotion, whether it be anger or surprise, he'll most likely change."
I stared at Pidge and shouted
"LIKE HELL YOU'RE SHOWING ANYONE THAT! GIVE ME THAT!"
With that me and Pidge started a comical chase around the room. Pidge rushes out of the room calling
"Don't spend too much time with your boyfriend!"
And closed the door. I let her words sink in and felt heat rising up my cheeks. I looked over to Keith who was still shifting between forms at a very fast pace. When Keith looked over to me, he stopped shapeshifting at the perfect time, right on the Altea form. I inwardly groaned and helped Keith up. We left the room in silence and walked back to our rooms, not daring to do anything other then sulk and sleep. Naturally that's what Keith did, but me being the social and charismatic guy I am, decided to go find Pidge and punch her in the face. I ran into the lobby just as Pidge began showing the video to everyone else.
"PIDGE!"
I yelled.
"Crap, well, here, have this and don't let Lance have it."
Pidge bolted out the door after she gave the camera to Hunk. I ran after Pidge, knowing that I wasn't getting that camera back. The fast little rodent lost me after a few turns and kept running to who knows where. I decided to turn back and go to the lobby before I get really lost. I entered the lobby and everyone stared at me. I blushed, knowing that they watched the video. Hunk came over and patted me on the back
"You did it! You finally kissed Keith!"
I was shocked! I've only ever told Pidge that I had a crush on Keith and that I wanted to kiss him, when did she tell Hunk? Also, why did Hunk just announce that out to all my other friends? Why Hunk? WHY?!
My face went bright red and Hunk covered his mouth.
"Lance~ you have wanted to kiss Keith~ for how long~"
Allura said in her persuasive voice. I sighed
"Ever since we formed Voltron..."
Allura and Coran gasped.
"Really! This is great news! OMG I have to tell Keith!"
Allura ran off into the direction of Keith's room. I naturally ran after her.
"Allura stop!"
I yelled. Allura was really fast, like road runner fast. She weaves through the corridors with ease and kept just inside my vision. In no time she reached Keith's room.
"Keith~ are you in there? I have something very important to tell you."
Allura knocked on the door and I heard a groan from Keith's room. The door opened to reveal Keith in his Altean form with bed head.
"Lance-"
I cut Allura off as I dragged her away, leaving a very confused Keith standing in his doorway.
