"Damn, you're even prettier up closer," Bellamy pursed her lips, looking the 90-something year old soldier up and down. Steve, upon hearing that comment, turned a light shade of pink , clearing his throat as he got into his usual stance: his hands behind his back and feet spread, aligned with his shoulders.
"You wanted to speak to me, ma'am?" Steve asked formally, keeping his face devoid of any emotions, his voice calm and inviting.
"Don't call me ma'am- Bellamy," she told him, looking around the room and wincing when she felt her leg twitch with pain. Steve walked forward, and knelt down by her, moving to grab the dagger and pull it out, but Bellamy's frantic voice stopped him before he could. "No! No! Leave it there- just leave it." He wanted to protest, but nodded and signed, standing up and regained his previous posture.
"You wanted to speak to me, Bellamy?" Steve asked again, this time using her name. She nodded, but stayed silent for a second, before lifting his head to look at him straight in the eyes, dark brown meeting blue in an intense stare.
"Yeah... I want to negotiate... propose a deal," Steve scoffed and turned around, already shaking his head.
"No, no way, what could you possibly negotiate that could earn you the right?" Steve didn't think that the girl before him was capable of surprising him anymore, but she did, every single time.
"Don't you at least want to know what I want in that deal? Yeah... that's what I thought," Bellamy hummed when Steve hesitated at the door, clearly wanting to know what the deal was about. He sighed once more and walked back to stand in front of her. "I want you to get me out of here-"
Steve was already turning and walking to leave the room, shaking his head along the way, when what she said next caused him to freeze in his place, an unfamiliar emotion crossing his facial features.
"- and in return, I can give you information on your case- your, uh, your missing person's case."
The super soldier turned slowly, his eyes darkening slightly. Bellamy took slow, shallow breaths and tried to calm down, her senses all fired up because of not only the pain, but how the Captain looked right then and there. She would not admit it, but he slightly scared when he looked like that.
"That got your attention, didn't it? I thought it would," Bellamy smirked, spitting another mouthful of blood and grimacing at the disgusting iron taste that invaded her mouth. "You get me out of here, and I'll give you intel on- what was his name?"
"Bucky," Steve muttered softly, walking up to her slowly, his hands fisted by his side.
"That's right... Bucky," if it was even possible, her smirk got even bigger.
Nobody could have even guessed what would happen next. The Captain could only see red when he suddenly reached out and grasped the younger girl's throat with his hand, squeezing hard, but not hard enough to crush her windpipe with his enhanced strength. Her eyes bulged and her arms jerked in the cuff's hold, her immediate reaction was to try and pull his hand away from her throat, but she could not do that when she was restrained. She could not breathe, not at all, as she struggled against his hold, gasping for non-existent air and gurgling in the mouth.
"You will tell me what you know about him, no deal or negotiation or anything! Tell me!" He yelled, squeezing her throat tighter and tighter, watching as her face slowly turned blue, when he let go, jerking back as if he was burned. Steve watched with wide eyes as the teenager slumped down, her mouth open as she gasped and gasped for air. He could not believe he did what he did. Not five minutes ago, he was judging and criticizing Natasha for inflicting harm on the girl, and now he was doing the same, if not worse. He was a hypocrite, and he could have killed her. He would have killed her if it weren't for the orders being shouted at him through his earpiece, ordering him to stand down and let the girl go.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he whispered, swallowing thickly, staring down at his hand that had smears of blood- her blood. He did not want to be in the same room as her, fearing he would snap again, and this time, he didn't think he would stop. So, he turned and quickly crossed the room towards the door, swiping his hand on the electronic pad next to it to open the door. Said door slid open, and he was about to leave when she stopped him once again.
"I know where he is," she spoke hoarsely, chuckling when she saw him turn and walk closer to her once again, still finding herself having trouble breathing because of how swollen her throat felt. "I can tell you where he is if you get me out of this place- out of SHIELD."
Many would think that the great Captain America would never agree to such thing, but he actually hesitated, clearly thinking about the offer. He pursed his lips but said nothing, his eyes casted downwards towards the stone grounds that had droplets of her rich, dark red blood.
"No," he finally said, but at the back of mind, he really wanted to say yes. He and Sam had been trying and failing at locating Bucky, and when the girl before him says that she knows where he is, he was entitled to feel a little desperate for anything on his best friend.
"Really? Fine then, guess I won't tell you that Hydra's getting close to your metal-armed friend," she feigned a gasp of fake regret. "Oops. Guess the cat's out of the bag." She then smirked when he looked angry again- even angrier than before. He took deep breaths, clenching his fists as hard as he could to keep him from doing something he would regret.
"Where is he?" He asked calmly, yet his jaw was clenched just as hard as his fists were.
"Doesn't work like that, pal. But, I'll tell you... if we have a deal-- do we, have a deal?" She asked, blinking rapidly as she felt herself get lightheaded from the blood loss. She could slowly feel her leg lose all feeling, the wound itself becoming numb. Not a good thing.
"No, but you will tell me where he is, or-"
"Or what? What are you gonna do, Spangles? Are you gonna hurt me? Kill me? If you are, then do it! I don't care! But as long as you don't comply with my deal, Bucky will always be far from your reach. You will never find him, and I swear to all things evil, I will make sure that Hydra gets their tentacles on him, wipe his mind clean and fill the void with one thing: to kill precious little Captain America. He will no longer be your Bucky, but the Winter Soldier!" Bellamy got this crazed glint in her dark eyes as she shouted in Steve's face, her words filled with malice and evil and full out psychotic-ness. "He will not rest until he completes his mission; to kill you. Till the end of the line, am I right?"
That seemed to do it for Steve because he let out a small shout and leaped towards her, smashing his strong fists against her jaw, emitting a cringe-worthy crack. He didn't stop. Punch after punch, blows were delivered to her temple, her throat, her side and stomach... he hit and hit until he felt arms wrap around him, pulling him away from the small, injured girl. 3 agents had to wrestle the strong Captain away from the girl who began laughing maniacally, throwing her head back as she cackled, feeling a single tear travel down her cheek. Her breaths quickened and then she was gasping for air, feeling her airways tighten as if somebody was chocking her again, even if no one was currently in the room with her. The agents had dragged Steve out of the room and left her hurt and bleeding all in her lonesome.
Bellamy ached and hurt all over. She could not breathe without feeling a stabbing pain in her chest, and her face felt swollen and numb, so much that she struggled to spit out the blood that pooled in her mouth, causing her to gag and cough. Her eyes shut, and she tried to tune out the world around her, but she couldn't; her head hurt too much-- everything hurt too much.
She could feel herself slipping. She tried to hold on, to stay awake, because her job was not done. She still had two more jobs to accomplish- two more missions- and then she was done. She was free. None hated Bellamy more than she did herself. She wanted nothing more but to end her own life. To silence her torment and end her suffering. But she couldn't, not when she had a purpose.
The broken girl felt a prickle on her arm, and suddenly the world turned off into silence.
