Oh my god. Did he just? No, he couldn't have. He's got a girlfriend. They seem happy together, so he couldn't have. But he did. Oh, well. He was probably just being polite. I walk into my math class and apparently right into the middle of Nathan's and Jane's conversation. All I hear is:
".....breaks our deal happened." From Nathan and they stop. I go to sit at my spot at the front, I work best there, and wait for the teacher to show up.

After a few minutes, kids start pouring in for the class, and finally our teacher. 'Ugh, integers again?' He does the lesson and tells us what to do. He says that we can get to work and work in partners if we need to. Guess who sits beside me? I'll give you one guess.......... Nathan.

"Hey, dude. Can we work together?" He asks sheepishly.

I say, "Sure." But I don't understand why he would. He's aceing this class. It's not like he needs the help. Me, on the other hand, I am not aceing this class, but not doing too bad either.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, what 'deal' were you talking about when I walked in?" Oh man, this is so not my business. "Er, I mean,..... I'm sorry. You don't have to answer that, it's totally not my business."

"I,...... uhhh..... I'll tell you when we hang out, ok?"

"You don't have to. But you can if you want. Want to come over to mine after school?" Where did I get this confidence?!!!

"I..... Sure, I'd like that." He's blushing.
