I open my eyes to see a paradise. I stand up from the spot where I lay in the grass and look around. Just down the path is Valhalla, the hall of the fallen warriors. I walk towards it and across the bridge. On the other side stands Fandral, waiting for me. I run to him and he wraps me in his arms, spinning me around. I kiss him for a long time until he sets me down and takes my hand.
"Come with me, my love. Everyone is waiting for you." He tells me. We walk inside the grand doors to see my family waiting for me. Mother walks to me and hugs me tightly. Father comes and wraps his arms around both of us. We stay like that for a while. When we pull apart, Volstagg pulls me into a tight bear hug and lifts me in the air. I chuckle as he sets me down.
"Thank you for sending me here, Aurora." He says. I nod.
"How did I end up here? No one was around to send me off." I ask mother.
"Darling, you're the Goddess of Life, you brought yourself here." She tells me. I walk back to Fandral and take my place beside him at the table. He rests his arm across the back of my chair and we rejoice.
Later that night, I walk with Fandral to look over Asgard. Surtur stands above the realm, ripping it apart. I can see the souls of the dead still trapped there.
"I have to release their souls." I tell Fandral. He smiles at me.
"And that you will do. Come with me." He says, taking my hand. We step through the portal into Asgard. When we come out the other side, we both have an ethereal look to us, like the ghosts from stories told to me as a child. We fly down to the burning chaos, it appears that Surtur cannot see us. "Don't worry, we're invisible." I smile and raise my arms up as gold magic swirls around them.
"All the fallen Asgardians, I now release you from this devastation and chaos. You are now free to join the stars and those who have left this life before you." I announce. I shove my hands forward, there's a flash of gold light. Every soul in the realm turns to stardust and soars into the sky. Fandral takes my hand and we fly back to Valhalla.
For the rest of eternity, we spend each and every day together. It is peace, it is joy, it is my happiness. I watch over my brothers and the people of Asgard as they fly through the universe in search of a new home.
And for eternity, I spend every hour with my love. For eternity, I am happy.
