Fairy Tail: Mutant Arc Volume 3

Chapter 31: Discovery

*Lucy, Erza, Levy, Wendy, and Carla crawl down the latter into the deep, dark entrance of the laboratory and examine a small hallway*

Lucy: I wish we had some light in here.

*lights in the entrance to the laboratory suddenly turn on and shocks Lucy, Levy, Wendy, and Carla*

Erza: There they are.

Levy: All this time, this place was here, and we never found out?

Lucy: *See a metal door near them* Alright. Lets go. *tries to open the door, but it won't budge*

Erza: *tries to open the door as well, but it won't budge either*

*Everyone tires to help to get the door open, but it still won't budge*

Lucy: Man! How strong is this door?

Wendy: Alright. Stand back.

Everybody: *stands back*

Wendy: SKY DRAGON ROAR!!!! *echoes and the wind blows in on the door, but it still won't open* Come on. Its there a magic seal on this door?

Levy: Maybe it requires a password.

Carla: I highly doubt what you have in mind will work.

Lucy: OPEN SESAME!!!

*the door opens*

Everyone: *stares in wide eye disbelief*

Lucy: It actually work.

Carla: Those 2 must be idiots for coming up with something predictable.

*Everybody walks into the lab and sees everything look rusty and some plants growing from the floor*

Erza: So this is their laboratory.

Lucy: Wow.

Wendy: This place is creepy.

Levy: Lets make this quick please.

Carla: Quit being such cowards.

Erza: Alright. Lets search this entire lab until we find something that will help us.

Everyone: Right!

Erza: *examines the destroyed chamber that King Mutant was in* Hmm. I assume this is where King Mutant was held throughout the years. What a terrible place to be indeed.

Lucy: *sees a table with a lot of files and papers and an old note on top of them that says "Plans to take down Fairy Tail." Well, you failed, so that that you punks! *rips the note in 2*

Levy: *sees a bookshelf full of old books and takes them* I might need these.

Wendy: Isn't that stealing?

Levy: Well, this lab is abandoned, and nobody has found it yet. So, its not.

Wendy and Carla: *they see a closed closet, open it and scream in horror when they see whats inside* WHAT IS THIS?!?!

Everybody: *comes over to Wendy and Levy and Lucy scream in terror as well, but Erza glares*

Lucy: WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THEM?!?!

*the closet is filled with skeletons and rotting corpses with dark green parts on what's left of their skin*

Levy: *sees a note on the door and reads it* "P-previous test subjects."

Wendy: *hides behind Erza* T-they did it to more people than King Mutant?

Erza: It seems these Doctors are more twisted than we could have imagined. Kidnapping people only to using them for their own monstrous desires. Despicable.

Lucy: No wonder King Mutant hates them. They're freakin maniacs!!!

Erza: Alright. *closes the closet door* Lets continue the search.

Lucy: But Erza, we haven't found anything yet.

Erza: We'll search this entire laboratory all day if we have to.

Lucy: Alright.

*About 5 minutes later, as they continued searching the lab, Levy eventually came across something*

Levy: Wait, I think I found something. *Everyone sees that Levy found a safe that was covered up with table cloth* Maybe theirs something in here.

Lucy: How are we gonna open it?

*Erza grabs out a sword and slashes the safe door open and it shows a bottle of purple pills, a potion bottle of light green liquid and a few notes on each of the bottles*

Everybody: *surprised on what they see*

*Lucy grabs out the bottle of pills and reads the notes*

Lucy: *reading the notes* "After many attempts to avoid injuries from our test subjects, we took the liberty to create these Super Pills to become resistant to their power. The power we created in the first place. The effects of the pills will last for about 24 hours. Do not use unless the subjects our out of control, like subject L."

Lucy: Who writes notes like this? Its like they're writing in their diary!

*Erza grabs the potion bottle with the light green liquid and reads the notes on them*

Erza: "Emergency Reverse Potion. If any of our subjects are far beyond are control, use this potion turn our subjects back to normal humans and discard them."

Wendy: So this potion will turn King Mutant back into a human?

Levy: And this bottle of pills will help us fight against the Mutants?

Carla: So let me get this straight, in order to get our guild back, we need to use some drugs made by the 2 mad men who started all of this madness, and use them to fight off against King Mutant and his entire army?

Everybody: Yes!

Carla: Alright then. This makes everything far more easier.

Erza: Alright. Lets head back and tell everybody what we found!

Everyone: Yeah! *they make it out of the laboratory and head out for Lucy's apartment*





*A cure has been found. But will it be enough to stop the cold?*
