you sat alone in the crowd of hollywood hills mansion house party. of course, your idea of a friday night with your best friend would consist of bowling or going to the mall to do stupid stuff.

but instead, you were sitting on a leather couch, drinking water, amd scrolling through your phone.

you glanced up from your phone once in a while to see the action, but barely any of that happened. no matter how high or drunk these underage teenagers were.

you scanned the room and found yourself locking eyes with an ocean blue eyed boy. he smiled at you, and you returned the gesture.

god, he's fucking adorable. you thought. he shook his head while still smiling and returned talking to a curly haired teenager about his age. you looked back down at your phone and continued scrolling.

moments later, the boy who you exchanged glances with earlier, was now sitting beside you. "i don't really like this party either," he glances at your phone and drink of choice and chuckles.

his laugh, you swooned mentally.

"i'm daniel." he said.

"y/n," you smiled. he wasn't drunk or high, which made you trust him somehow. he looked up and scanned the room.

"you wanna get out of here?" he asked. you didn't think he was going to do anything to you, so you nodded. "we could get ice cream."

you giggled at his remark and said, "i'd like that."

he smiled and took you hand and dragged you out of the house. you moved past the sweaty, dancing bodies and made it out the front door. he lead you to the street and you started talking.

"so, daniel, what brought you to that party?" you questioned. he sighed.

"my friends." he looked at you. you nodded and explained how you also had the same experience.

after that, you arrived at the ice cream shop. you picked your flavor, and daniel chose his. after daniel insisting he paid, you rejected his offer. besides, you owed him for getting you out of the god awful party.

you two sat down by the window, and after talking for hours, he didn't even realize his friends were looking for him. he apologized for having to leave you so soon, and you didn't think any moment wasn't enough.
