y/n's hair layed flat on her back while she rested her head on her chin. she wrote down a problem, and started to solve it. she's glanced over at her notes to make sure she was doing it right.

zach looked at her with lust, the teenage girl like a piece of artwork in front of him. he admired the way her eyes scanned carefully over the paper and how she stuck out her tongue a bit to focus. zach smiled and shook his head. he focused back on his paperwork and decided not to let her get to his head.

as you can tell, zach had a mini crush on the girl.

zach was the one who would go out partying every Friday night, while y/n stayed at home, dancing alone in her room to her playlist on Spotify.

zach just loved the way she cared for others, how her smile could light up a room, and how her outfits could just be leggings, sweatshirts, no makeup and she can still look gorgeous.

zach's mind swirled with the thought of them having an interaction, her deep eyes meeting with his.

he had no idea what could go wrong. but he knew he couldn't talk to the girl that drove him wild. he had no idea a single human could do this to him, but when y/n walked into the room for the first time during freshman year, he knew.

it was now senior year, and his crush on her had only grown bigger.

zach never thought the girl would notice her. but, he was dead wrong.

y/n glanced at zach with her eyes laced with hope. she wasn't praying for a miracle, only for him to notice her.

y/n knew zach wouldn't talk to the timid girl, his popularity and unbelievably amazing looks were too good to be true.

y/n never cared about her popularity or appearance. sure she had a few friends, and a trendy closet, but she never payed any attention to her reputation. she didn't think zach would even notice.

alas, y/n decided to move aside her feelings. besides, after senior year, everyone branches off and forgets each other.

after she wrote her last problem on the paper, she decided to turn it in early, so she wouldn't forget it or lose it. she licked her lips and stood up. she adjusted the dark sweatshirt that layed over her torso. zach raised his hand, asking for help on a problem.

zach looked over at whoever stood up. of course it was y/n turning in her paper early. zach glanced  at the clock, 10 minutes after they got the paper. zach scoffed softly.

the teacher smiled at y/n and she nodded. the teacher whispered something to her, pointed at zach, and y/n nodded. she turned toward the boy, and sat in the desk next to him.

"she told me that you needed help," y/n said, barely a whisper. zach looked over and gulped. he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of the one girl he knew was the one.

"Yeah," he mumbled. "number 5." Y/n giggled because it was the easiest problem in her mind. Zach couldn't help but smile at her giggles.

"So you do what with 7x?" she pointed. zach scratched his head.

"you divide it by..." he trailed. y/n mentally facepalmed at his forgetfulness.

"21." she finally stated. zach nodded and wrote in messy handwriting the rest of the problem.

"thanks," he said. y/n nodded, and as if on cue, the bell rang.

y/n stood up while the teacher shouted something about finishing up during a study hall, or lunch. y/n grabbed her belongings, and started to walk out the door.

"y/n," she heard a familiar voice. she turned around to find the boy with his mouth slightly agape.

"hey," she smiled. zach started walking with her.

"I'm sorry about earlier," he said, sympathetically. "I just wanted a reason to talk to you."

his words made y/n's heart melt. she bit her fingernails, a habit of embarrassment,  and looked down.

"but hey," he smiled. "I'll see you around."
