Chapter 2: Excuses"You did what??!" Kristina yelled, almost choking on the strawberry she just put in her mouth.
I shrugged, "You know how I am, that's a excuse to scare them off."
I reached for another strawberry, but she swatted my hand away.
Didn't need to be a bitch about it.
She raised her hand at me,"You know better!"
I did know better, Kristina has always been protective of her food. When we were younger, a kid took one of the sandwiches she made from her lunchables...let's just say the kid ended up on the floor crying from being gut punched and kicked in his not fully grown balls.
"Well that didn't scare them away,"she said, averting her gaze onto Zaria who was hitting Michael in the back of the head, then to Dennis who stared at us while raising an eyebrow and finally onto Emory, a small smile was plastered on her face as she walked alongside Kristen's boyfriend towards our table.
Everyone in the circle I formed was different and I wouldn't change a single thing about them.
Dennis took a seat,"I heard yelling, is something wrong?"
Dennis was the second friend I made at this high school. He is dark skin and wears black thick rimmed glasses. He is most likely the smartest guy I have ever known and aside from that, he can run track like a pro.
"With me. No. with her very much" Kristen said pointing at me making me roll my eyes in response.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS MICHAEL?!" Zaria hollered as she caught Michael unconcernedly eating her pizza.
Zaria is the captain of the volleyball team, hence she had the loudest vocals in the group. She had dark brown hair that flowed down to the middle of her back, brown eyes and medium tanned skin. Zaria and I became good friends sophomore year and with Zaria came Michael.
Michael is a whole other species himself.
Initially, Michael was Zaria's middle school bully. He then became her guy best friend. ,but where do they go from there? He is the star quarterback of the school's football team. He's known for being a player and intimidating in character. Besides all that, Michael is one of the guys that can actually compete with Dennis and I when it comes to gaming. He's fair skinned and has dark brown hair and eyes.
"God, does this thing have a mute button somewhere?" He said, poking at Zaria's head.
She rolled her eyes in annoyance, "Hi there, I'm human. What are you?"
"Google me and you'll find out. A lot of people already know this when they see my description of being a monster," he winked at her, "but that's after they experience me in bed."
She burst out laughing,"Yeah, no wonder after you're done having sex with them and pass over a sexually transmitted disease, you're right you are a monster.
He smirked and whispered something in her ear. She quickly became a bit flustered and punched him in the arm.
"Ow! That hurt!" He growled, a small smile still tugged at his lips while he looked over at her.
Emory sighed,"Uh...anyways, I heard you had a little talk with Andrew Pearson."
I wasn't surprised that Emory knew of my conversation with Andrew, she's the type of person who knows everything...and I mean EVERYTHING that goes on in the lives of her peers. Emory, similar to Michael comes from a wealthy family, both of which are in constant rivalry. Emory has fair skin and is red head with hazel eyes.
