In front of them was no longer a confident or arrogant man but a panic-stricken person, worried for his future. Lucifer’s feet moved him backwards on the walkway, away from his siblings and Ryan.
“Please, brother dearest, don’t do this,” he implored. “Michael, you can’t do this to me.”
“No, I can’t,” said Michael and he walked over to Naomi and put his hands on her shoulder. “But Naomi could.”

“What?” Lucifer and Naomi asked. Naomi spun to face the eldest archangel and stared at him in confusion.
“I thought you didn’t want me involved,” she said.
“It’s a bit late for that,” said Azrael.

Michael smiled at Naomi and crouched down to her level.
“I need to to touch him and say ‘Quas eieci vos ab Caelo and lock vos in caveam dabo.’ Can you repeat than?” he whispered. Naomi quietly repeated it to him and he smiled again. “That will lock Lucifer in here, okay?” She nodded.
“Okay.”

Lucifer watched his younger sister turn to face him. He then looked to Michael and Azrael and smiled to himself slightly.
“There’s not enough of you,” he said, feeling more confident.
“You underestimate our power,” said Michael. “Anyone can lock you in here if they know how, but how much power they have behind them determines for how long.”

Slowly, Naomi stepped towards Lucifer who stepped back. Only to bump into someone. Lucifer turned to see a replica of their brother Samiel. Sam stood confident with his head held high.
“Sam?” he wearily asked. “You… that can’t be you. You were hurt and injured and unstable.”
“You expect too little,” said Sam with a smile.

“Who’s side are you on?” asked Lucifer.
“I’m not on your side, Luci,” he said as Lucifer had expected him to. “I’m not on your side or Michael’s or Father’s.” Lucifer furrowed his brow at him.
“So…”
“So I’m hers, I’m on humanity’s side,” Lucifer chuckled and glanced back to the celestials (and Ryan) behind him before looked back at Samiel. “At they try to be better, you just lie and trick. They try, Luci, and that’s more than you.”

“They are broken, flawed rejections,” he hissed. “How could you try to defend them?”
“I might not like Father but I respect him and he has created something far better than us. That just happens to be humanity. So I’ll protect them.”

Lucifer, clearly bored of his younger brother’s words, reached out with his hand. He stopped above his shoulder, not touching him. Samiel raised his eyebrows as Lucifer leaned down to him.
“Don’t forget who taught you that, little brother. Because you can’t heal that quick. Nice try.” He pulled his hand down, swiping through Samiel’s chest and then the illusion faded into nothing.

While Lucifer was distracted with his guilt over Samiel, Naomi carefully walked along to walkway. Reaching out for the arm which hung at his side, she grabbed his wrist with her cold hand.

Lucifer’s wings were perfect, pure and white. No missing feathers, burns or scars. Lucifer smiled up at Michael. I’m proud of you, Luci. I’m proud of you, brother. As Lucifer looked down, a silver blade materialised in his hands. He held the dagger-like weapon up andit glinted in the sunlight. A celestial blade.

Naomi quickly said the words Michael hand told her and felt his skin warm up. As it felt like it was burning, she hastily let go and spotted the red mark on his skin. It was where her hand was. Lucifer gently pressed it with his other hand and hissed at the pain.
“What did you do?” he growled as he looked at her. His eyes had turned the reddish-orange colour like when they were outside the church. Like a feral animal, he was just trying to survive.

Stepping back, Naomi immediately felt nothing beneath her feet. Lucifer grabbed her shirt to stop her from falling and felt her shudder as she regretfully glanced down at the bottomless void below.
“I think they’d kill me if I let you fall.” Naomi looked at him with wide eyes. “But I did say I wouldn’t hurt you.” Lucifer pulled her back onto the walkway and released his grip on her shirt.

“You don’t have to help them, Naomi. You don’t even have to help me. You can walk away from this.”
“I do have to help them.” As Michael walked over to Naomi, Lucifer looked down at the burnt skin.
“Look at how much stronger you are. You can actually do something with your telekinesis now Michael isn’t restricting you.”
“I don’t want power, I want peace.”
“Locking me in here won’t help you achieve peace. There will never be peace.”

“I’m sorry,” she whispered as she pushed back her hair. Lucifer looked down at the irritated skin again. He stared at it for a moment before smiled and chuckling.
“You’ve already done it, haven’t you? I’m already stuck here.” Naomi nodded, her hair falling in her face again. “I almost forgot the feeling of being in captivity.”
“Don’t try to get sympathy, Lucifer. You don’t deserve any,” Michael said coldly.

“I’m really sorry,” Naomi said, apologising again.
“He raised you well, I’ll give my dearest brother that.” Michael nodded to his brother and Lucifer looked at his siblings before his gaze settled on Naomi again. “It still remains, however.”
“What does?” she asked.
“You are special, dearest sister,” he said as he took a step back. “Just remember that.”
“I will,” she said quietly. Lucifer smiled as he saw Michael and Azrael’s glares that were clearly directed at him. “Thank you, brother.”

He smiled wider as she finally acknowledged their relation and took a step away from her.
“Well,” he started. “Since I’m stuck here, I should start doing things again. You know, controlling demons, torturing people, the usual while you guys and relax. For a while.”

There was a cracking noise and they turned to see Gabriel with a very irritate expression while Samiel clung to his arm.
“He refuses to let go,” he said, pursing his lips together. Lucifer looked away, unable to see his weak brother. Naomi walked over to Lucifer and looked up at him.
“Goodbye brother.” Lucifer glanced at his siblings and Ryan who all looked very uncomfortable with how civil she was being with him. He smirked before looked back to Naomi.
“Goodbye, sister dearest.”
