It's been two days since the incident down in Broker, Roman is recovering from the gunshot wound that Mikhail Faustin caused in his own basement when Niko and Kaneki killed Vlad, Faustin's debt collector, and now they both work for him now. Niko, Kaneki, and Touka was standing near the front door of Faustin's mansion.
Niko knocks on the door. The door opens as they are greeted by Dimitri Rascolov. "Hey Niko. Ken. And the girlfriend."
Touka blushed. Before she spoke up, Kaneki came in in front of her, also blushing. "A-actually, she's not my girlfriend. Niko said that to get us out of that situation weeks ago."
"Well, sorry. Come in."
"Thank you," Niko thanked.
The three enter the mansion, following Dimitri into the living room where Mikhail is, doing lines of cocaine and drinking vodka.
"Lay off that stuff," Dimitri says.
"Why?" Mikhail questions as he does another line of coke.
"Because it clouds your judgment. Not now, it's not the time." Dimitri referring to Niko and Kaneki as they are about to do a job Mikhail wants done.
"My judgment." Mikhail chuckles. "That's a good one." He pauses for another round of vodka. "I'm a fool, a drunken fool."
"Niko and his ghoul buddies' here. We're going to take care of that guy." Dimitri points to Niko and Kaneki. "I take it that you won't be joining us?"
Mikhail raises his glass at them. "Make him suffer. People forget pain so quickly."
Kaneki in his thoughts wondered about Faustin. This guy has some problems. Doesn't look like his usual self.
"You need to calm down with that stuff," Dimitri telling Mikhail.
"Calm?" Faustin looks at Dimitri. "Why? So I can be like you, Mr. Barbiturate? Always so fucked up on painkillers you don't give shit?" It's obvious that both of the two do drugs, but Dimitri, on the other hand, takes off-the-counter drugs from a drug store instead of illegal drugs smuggled from other countries.
"You need to calm down," Dimitri repeats.
Faustin looks up at Dimitri before doing another line of cocaine. "Where we would be now if I was calm like you?"
"Let me guess, in a prison camp in Siberia." Dimitri points out while making hand gestures before sitting on a couch right next to him. "Or selling hash to tourists in Red Square, or still in the navy? Which is it today?"
Mikhail and Dimitri both worked for the Soviet Navy back in the days of the Cold War before the Soviet Union died out and became the Russian Federation back in the early '90s and before the ghoul mutations started to grow. Now they now run a russian gang in Liberty as work in Russia was poor and had nothing to offer there.
"Be careful, Dimitri," Faustin warned. "Be fucking careful."
"You be careful..." Dimitri warned backed. "...your getting crazy"
"That's the way it works," Mikhail starts explaining, "I am angry, you are calm, I scare, you reason. It works..." He takes another drink of vodka.
"Yes, but you've angered the wrong people," Dimitri points out of Faustin's past sins. "Too many bodies, too many attention. We'll be dealt with... if we don't start playing by the rules."
Mikhail tried to ingnore him by repeating, "Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..." over Dimitri's saying, but he heard very word he said.
"I've angered people?" Faustin questioning Dimitri. "Me? Not 'we'? Strange. When I give out the money, it's 'us'. When I have to push people, it's 'me'. All alone. Don't think I cannot see through you. After all we've done together..."
