Ross

We were on a plane heading to Phoenix, which was about 9 hours.

The kids are asleep in me, Ellington, Mom, and Dad's laps.

We're about 5 hours into the flight already so we have around 4 more hours.

"Is that your brother?" A girl about my age asked.

I shook my head with a smile on my face. "He's my son."

She looked taken back a bit but smiled at me.

"He's so cute." She gushed. "What's his name?"

"Rocky."

"That's so cute!"

"Thanks."

She smiled at me cutely.

"Daddy!" I turned my head and Riker was whining for me.

Ellington handed him to me over the aisle and I gave him a sleeping Rocky.

"What's your name?" Riker asked noticing the girl.

"Laura." The girl smiled at Riker and shook his hand.

"I'm Riker and this is my Daddy," Riker said pointing to himself then me. Laura laughed.

Not to sound cocky or anything but I'm surprised she didn't know my name already.

"I'm Ross."
"Laura." She shook my hand.

"If you don't mind me asking, how many kids do you have?" Laura asked curiously.

"4," I answered simply.

"Yeah, my brother, Rocky, my other brother Ryland, and my sister Rydel." Riker listed on his small fingers.

"Oh really? How old are you Riker?" Laura asked.

"I'm 4!" Riker held up four fingers proudly.

"Aw, you're so cute and smart! I bet your Mommy is so proud of you." Laura said.

Riker frowned and looked down at his lap.

"She's not here anymore," Riker mumbled. I rubbed his back and kissed his temple.

"I'm sorry Riker," Laura said sympathetically but she was looking at me.

"I'm sorry." She mouthed. I nodded. "Thank you." I mouthed back.

"So Riker tell me about your siblings." Laura said changing the subject.

"We play hockey together and we sing with Daddy sometimes." You could hear in his voice that he was still sad.

"That's so cool!"

"Can you watch him? I have to use the bathroom." I asked. Laura nodded. "Of course I can Ross."

I stood up and sat Riker down in my spot.

Laura

After Ross left, Riker started talking to me about his Mom.

"Sometimes I wish I still had a Mommy." Riker sighed.

"I'm sorry about that Riker." I said rubbing his back.

"I went to the park with Uncle Ratliff and kids were telling me that they wouldn't play with me because I didn't have a Mommy. I cried and ran to Uncle Ratliff but he thought I just got hurt." Riker explained.

I just rubbed his back. I didn't know what else to say to him.

"Rikey!" Riker's head whipped to the call. There was a beautiful baby girl with her arms out for Riker.

Ross' Mom, I'm assuming sat the girl in the seat next to Riker.

"Hi Delly." Riker smiled. The girl kissed his cheek.

"This is my sister Rydel, Rydel this is Laura."

Rydel smiled at me. "Hi!"

"Hi sweetie."

"Do you like my twin brother?" Rydel asked. I nodded. "He's very sweet, just like you."

"You're twins?" I asked excitedly. They nodded together.

I looked up and saw Ross coming back from the bathroom.

He grinned when he saw Rydel.

"You're awake pumpkin." He picked her up and kissed her cheek.

"Hey Daddy." Ross reached down and picked up Riker so he could sit down.

He sat the blond haired twins in his lap.

"Thanks."

I nodded.

"Hey Laura?" Riker asked. "Hmm?" I hummed taking a swig of water.

"Can you be our new mommy?" He asked innocently.

I almost spat the water out of my mouth.

"Riker! You can't just ask people that." Ross scolded. "Sorry." Riker sighed.

"I'm sorry Laura."

"It's okay, it's actually quite cute."

Ross grinned at me. "Do you live in Phoenix?"

I shook my head, "I actually live in L.A, I'm just visiting family."

"We do too!" Ross said excitedly. I laughed. His smile is so cute and he's so adorable when he's excited.

"Are you visiting family too?"

Ross shook his head. "I'm actually on tour."

"You're a singer?"

He nodded.

"I knew you looked familiar!"

He laughed.

"Maybe we could meet up sometime in L.A."

"Are you asking me out?" I asked teasingly.

"If you want me to." Ross grinned again and I almost died.

"Yes, I'll go on a date with you."

He got out his phone and handed it to me.

"I'll call you when tour ends. Or you can call me when I don't have a show and we could meet up then."

I nodded. I put my number in his phone and he put his in mine.

"Gross!" Riker exclaimed. "Yucky!" Rydel said at the same time as Riker. Ross and I laughed.
