Jenny came by so we could walk together, since I don't know where I'm going. She had changed clothes and done her makeup too. Now she was wearing high waisted black jeans, a white crop top and finishing the look with a red flannel shirt tied around her waist.
I don't know what to think or feel. Everything kind of felt rushed, like, this is my first day and I'm going to a party to make friends. It sounds kinda bad, but what to do.
"So, here we are." Jenny pointed at a brown double door. The music was really loud and I could feel the vibration of the beat in the air.
"Okay, so we just open the door or..?" I asked and Jenny looked at me with a growing smile, which showed that she's just about to say something sarcastic.
"No, we just run through the wall like fucking Harry Potter."
"Ha ha, so funny..." I said as she opened the door.
Jenny was the first one to enter the room and I followed soon after. I didn't know if I should close the door after me, but I did since it was closed when we came.
The first thing that hit me was the smell of cigarette, that were making the room a little bit blurry. I coughed but continued to follow Jennys red flannel further into the room, which were pretty large and filled with students.
I wondered why the fire alarm hadn't triggered but that was soon solved when I saw it hanging on a thread from the roof, obviously destroyed.
"So, Redshirt, I'm going to find my friends and you can go make your own." She smiled and gestured towards the crowd. "Good luck." She added before she disappeared into a connecting room. I looked around to see where I should go, I didn't want to stand in the middle of the room and bring too much unwanted attention to myself. I spotted Ryans group in the left corner of the room sitting around a table playing some sort of game. Therefore I went to sit down on one of the couches to the right. I found one free couch and headed for it, but I didn't even make it half the way.
"Redshirt, there you are!" the too familiar voice called for me. I turned around and met Ryans eyes, shit. Since I didn't wanted to start a fight today I changed direction and walked towards them, with regret in every step. As soon as I reached the table, Ryan cleared a spot for me and told me to sit down. My spontaneous thought were to spit at him but I decided to actually take a seat. If I could get Ryan to like me, it would be safer to live in my room.
"Take some beer." Lee handed me a cup and I smelled it before I took a sip. The familiar taste filled my mouth and I actually felt good about it. It reminded me of the fun parties with my friend back at my old home.
"So you came here with Jenny huh." Ryan said as he prepared some shots for his friends.
"Yeah, she's really nice." I said awkwardly.
"And really hot, but don't tell my girlfriend I said that." He laughed and then changed the subject.
"So, you wanna play a game with us Redshirt?" He smirked and pointed at a the playcards that were all over the table. The others started to persaud me, well, everyone except the weird guy, Owen.
"I don't know... What's the loser prize?" I asked as Ryan mixed the card, like if I had already agreed.
"Can't tell ya. Is up to me to decide one that will be revealed at the end. Rules are rules." He said, finishing his sentence with a hum. He handed out the cards to everybody except me, when he were done, he took another card and placed it in front of me. Letting his hand lay over it so I could not see the number.
