Act 1 (Scene-3)
Beginnings (3)
"Your power is nothing compared to mine. You are stuck here, outnumbered, and outgunned, facing certain death. What will you do?"

Laura's eyes snapped open.
The sight that greeted her was nothing but overwhelming blue. She found it hard to comprehend, due to a feeling of dizziness. Her sense of touch was also useless, as she felt nothing but winds brushing against her. She attempted to wipe her eyes only for her limb to slap against her body, and she realized that she was spinning uncontrollably. And then the realization slammed into her. She was plummeting through the sky.
She let out a scream, only for the wind to rush into her throat and choke her. She tried to flail her arms and kick her legs, but it was nothing but a pointless exercise. The wind slammed into her body mercilessly, tossing and spinning her, ripping at her skin, and forcing her to squeeze her eyes shut. The sounds beating against her eardrums, overwhelming her. The screeching wind and the feeling of pure panic swelling up ceased most higher-level thought and instead awoke something primal within her, something that screamed at her in alarm, to do something, anything, to survive.
She didn't want to die.
Oh god, she didn't want to die
Her stomach turned; the urge to vomit came strong. She felt her stomach fill up with dread, terror racking throughout her body. Instinctively she squeezed her eyes tighter, and grit her teeth, another part of her not wanting to break down in a sniveling wreck, as that wouldn't help her situation.
Laura was scared, and could you blame her? She was only sixteen, she hadn't lived a full life yet! She choked back a sob. It wasn't fair. She wished she had never wanted to play this stupid game.
Despite the winds, she cracked open both her eyes. If she was going to die, then she wanted to see it coming. She wanted to see the ground, one more time before it killed her. She widened her eyes.
What the hell?!?
There was no land nearby, as far as she could see, just plain blue ocean. But that wasn't the weird part. No, it was the giant oceanic waterfall she was falling into. The hole was the size of a large island and the bottom was so far down that she couldn't see the end.
That spread a new wave of terror through her. Fuck, she didn't want to drown!!!
Unfortunately, one did not have much power in a situation like this.
Laura screamed a piercing cry one last time as she plummeted into the chasm. For a few seconds, she felt nothing. No wind, no sound. Just weightlessness. Then she tore through the surface of the water. Luckily for her, she fell into descending water, so she didn't die immediately from the impact. Unluckily, immediately after getting contact in the water, she felt and heard her limbs snap like twigs, in addition to sharp stabbings in her chest. The severe pain and the concussive force prevented Laura from resisting the ocean current as the current swept her down under. The rapidly increasing pressure squeezed her whole body painfully, causing her to groan out loud and then choke as the salty water forced its way down her throat and into her punctured lungs.
Laura tried to kick her shattered limbs into action but the pressure of the ocean above her pushing her down was too great to possibly resist, especially in her broken state. Eventually, her body went completely still as the currents swept her down into even deeper, darker water. And at the same time, Laura felt her consciousness ebb and waiver. Slowly, she felt her body grow numb, she could neither longer feel the beating of her heart nor could she hear the water rushing in her ears. Due to the pitch black lighting, she couldn't even see her murderer. With whatever thought processes she could use in her oxygen-deprived brain, she remembered something about in death, the five senses would leave you.
