"In the darkest night when I need your light,

Will you show me the way?"

Brielle and Dylan stayed over at our place, firstly because it was too dark and also too late for them to walk back home right now and secondly because Brielle was going to skip school with us tomorrow and go meet Adam Young with us so might as well.

Oh and Dylan is just gonna skip school tomorrow.

Something about Dylan that made me I don't know, "fall" for him actually because of many, many aspects. I obviously haven't told anyone of course.

His personality is definitely something else. He isn't like any guy to me, he is THE IDEAL guy for me. He's not like those popular jocks who push people around all the time or he isn't those kind of boys who play video games and stay up till one in the morning to complete an online game. He's not the nerdy type either. He hates math.

He's mysterious. Not like the creepy stalker kind but the good mysterious kinds. He has the bad boy attitude with a pinch of cheekiness.

But I can't fall for him, that's absurd!

I sound like the queen now, using big words like photosynthesis and such.

Anyways, back to the Dylan thingamajig. The reason I didn't tell anyone about Dylan was because of Louis.

Louis' a very protective brother. He doesn't mind me dating with other guys, he just specifically doesn't like me dating his friends and he has many, many reasons for that.

I remember him telling me this once.

"Georgia?"

"Yup?"

"I heard that you happen to like Bradley?"

"Bradley who now?" I asked, a little nervous.

"Bradley Simpson," Louis said, "And don't you dare act stupid with me. I'm being serious."

"Okay, fine. I like Bradley. What now?"

"Sis," Louis said, "Can you please, handle yourself and control those hormones in there. I don't want you dating any of my friends. I know them too well and I know how they are with girls."

"Here we go with the 'bro code' talk," I groaned.

"Georgia, this isn't just about the bro code. This is serious. I don't ever want you getting hurt. Just please, trust me." Louis convinced me.

"Alright, fine."

Louis was a great brother to me and I knew he meant well, but the thing is, I can't really push aside my feelings for Dylan this time.

It may sound like I'm being a five year old right now but, I feel like Dylan was meant to be with me.

There was something about him that I just couldn't let go.

"Georgia?" I heard Brielle tell from the living room. I was at the kitchen preparing food.

"Sup?" I yelled back.

"The boys decided to watch The Conjuring. Is that okay with you?"

"That is not okay with me!"

"Well then just deal with it because we're just going to watch it anyway!" Louis answered.

I groaned and prepared the food for the movie. Food should actually be noted down as one of the mandatory steps when watching a movie - especially a horror movie because when you're watching a horror movie and you're eating food, the sound of yourself munching the food actually covers the sound that you're supposed to hear from the movie and I should stop right now because I'm rambling.

I got two bowls of popcorn and a bowl of candy for myself because I like candy alongside with two gigantic bottles of Coke. Took it all in one trip. Two trips are for rotten potatoes.

I sat down in between Louis and Dylan. Brielle was on her own on the floor. She enjoyed horror movies and I do not. Same goes with Louis. He loves horror movies. Dylan, I'm not so sure.

"You afraid of horror movies?" Dylan asked.

"Yup. But Louis here loves to make me watch them with him so that I could like, 'conquer my fear' or something," I said, "But all he is, is a sack of rotten potatoes."

"Hey! That hurt you know?" Louis said, "I'm your brother!"

"Oh really, you are? So glad I have a brother. I never knew!"

Louis smacked me on the head which caused me to smack him back and that led to a smacking spree which ended up like a human tumbleweed.

"SHUT IT WILL YOU? THE MOVIE'S STARTING!" Brielle shushed us.

-

Halfway through the movie and I'm already really scared. Louis had already fallen asleep and Brielle was on the way into the land of dreams.

But still, she wouldn't let me switch off the television.

"You scared?" Dylan said, snaking his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

His touch was warm and comforting. He smiled at me as he held me close.

Soon, the movie ended. I did not watch half of the entire thing because I was too busy eating or I was hiding myself from watching the movie.

Louis fell off the couch and landed on the floor. He was too heavy for me to care so I'll just probably leave him there. As for Brielle, she already fell asleep. She's currently beside fallen Louis.

"The movie's ended, you can get up now," Dylan's voice surprised me. He still had his arm around my waist.

I saw that I was laying in his chest, snuggled onto him.

"I'm sorry," I blushed.

"It's alright. I'm already used to this. My sisters cuddle onto me all the time." He smiled.

"I'm going off to sleep. Long day tomorrow. Wanna come with?"

"Sure. How about these two?" He asked, motioning to Brielle and Louis.

"Just leave them be. They'll be alright out here."

I walked towards the stairs, going up to my room. I offered Dylan the guest room.

"Goodnight," he said.

"Goodnight."

After minutes that felt like hours of spinning around, I heard a knock on my window.

My body jerked up. I looked out the window and there was nothing there. I got out of bed an started walking toward the window.

This time, I heard the door behind me creak.

"This is not funny, whoever it is," I said out loud.

I heard the knock in the window again and that's when I got out of the room into Dylan's.

"Dude, wake up!" I said, shaking him a little.

"Sup?"

"I heard the window knocking and door squeaking and I this little munchkin is afraid."

"It's another nightmare, Georgia. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about." He sat up, comforting me.

"I swear there's something out there, Dylan. I'm so scared right now, "save me!"

I heard the door of Dylan's room creak again. This time, the door opened wider and wider.

I held into Dylan's hand involuntarily.

"GOTCHA!" Brielle and Louis appeared, switching on the lights and then high 5 -ing each other.

"Mashed potatoes."
