Chapter 1

Recap

She was just about to say something, when there was a loud scream coming from outside. "Shit!" we both screamed at the same time, we ran to her bedroom window and peered outside. "What the fuck?!" Cassie said.

Cassie's pov

Two ambulance vans were parked up outside of the house opposite. Me and Katrina have been waiting anxiously for 10 minutes to see any sign of what has happened, the people from the ambulances, went in, buy haven't came back out... I don't know if its just me, but does that sound creepy to you?! Because it sure is scaring the shit out of me! "Cassie?" Katrina sounded worried and scared "Yeah" I answered back with the same amount of weakness in my voice "They have been in there a long time... don't you think?!" She said sounding scared "Y-yeah I think that they should have came out by now!" I stuttered, just then we heard multiple loud screams, and a few weird yell/groans. "Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!" Me an Katrina shriek, as it was unexpected, so scared the HELL OUT OF US! We quickly ran away from the window, and dived into bed, holding each other in our arms an we were shaking and occasionally whispering things like "Its ok it was probably just someone playing a little harmless prank right?! RIGHT?!" or "It must've just been a dream, it's fine, I'm fine, we're fine... WE'RE GONNA DIE!" after 10 minutes of panicking, crying and more panicking... we got out of bed and ran through the house, turning every single light on. When we had accomplished that without getting stabbed, eaten or squished, we sprinted back to my room and hurled ourselves into bed once more, both of us still refusing to leave each other, even though we would only be a matter of metres away.

Katrina's pov

I hate scary stuff! And that is why I never watch horror movies, because I think I would end up dying! Cassie on the other hand absolutely loves them; paranormal, zombies, brutal deaths and just full on blood, guts and gore! I prefer movies that are harmless like... tinker bell and urr... monsters university. Cassie, is obsessed with zombies, she never stops talking about zombie apocalypses, I keep telling her that, that will never happen and that she has just watched too many movies, but she just stands by what she said and is absolutely determined that it will happen! One thing though, it better not because I would crap myself! Ok, just think positive, rainbows, fluffy bunnies and... ONE DIRECTION!

Paramedics pov

We had an urgent call from an elderly lady, saying that her husband had been brutally scratched and bitten by a load of mad teens, she sounded worried and said that she didn't know why they did it, but something looked funny about them! And now her husband had started to drift from being conscious and unconscious, but also the thing that intrigued us the most, was that she said he sometimes foamed at the mouth ad tried to bite her too, he had succeeded as well according to this old women, so we tried to get there as soon a possible. We arrived, flashing lights and all to knock on the given address... no reply came but the door creaked open ever so slightly, and what we heard was not human at all! There was an old man sitting in the corner, froth at the mouth, and making this growling/gargling noise while rolling his eyes as though he were possessed. Never in my life had I been so scared other than now! Drake, one of my work colleges, took a slight step forwards, only to step on a creaky floor board. The man instantly stop rolling his eyes and shot his gaze at us walking, or shall I say shuffling towards us, may I add as well what an unhealthy colour he was, his skin was a sickly white, with a slight hint of blue, as though his body was off or dead! We all moved towards him, shutting the door behind us. As we got closer we all noticed the blood! It was everywhere, especially around his mouth! "Sir?!" Drake said deeply "We are going to ask you to have to say where you are, you do not look well and where is your wife?!" he asked, his voice laced with slight panic and concern. All we got as a reply was a grunt type sound as he came closer, he then stopped 2 metres in front of us, a loud growl escaping his mouth before his wife, I presume stood next to him in the exact same way, with the exact same look. We all looked around at each other, all our faces holding the same expression... fear! They both growled once more before lunging at us all, loud screams and shrieks filling the space around us and more as they started to tear and rip the flesh from our limbs! all the screams died down as many were dead! Darkness pulled me in as him and his wife still shredded me up like wild animals, darkness finally overtook me, and I somehow think that that's not going to change!

Cassie's pov

The screams stopped after 2 minutes non-stop. Katrina just looked at me, as we both were still shaking uncontrollably. She closed her eyes and fell asleep straightaway, I tried to think about One Direction, but the images of what could have happened in that house kept coming back to me, and I had a feeling that I wasn't going to get much sleep as I closed my eyes and let myself rest.
