"Ok, but if you don't hurry up then I won't make you pancakes!" I reply "Noooo!" she whines as she comes sprinting down the stairs. Ha! no one wants to miss my pancakes!

Cassie's pov

I had just started cooking the pancakes, when Katrina threw an egg at me, I know what the fuck! "KATRINA!" I squealed angrily as I was shaking my head about to try and get it out "Katrina!" she mimicked with a high pitched tone. "I do not sound like that!" I narrowed my eyes at her. "Do too!" she teased. That's it! She's literally asking for it sooo... I dunked a cup in the pancake batter, turned sharply and threw it in her face. She gasped and spluttered, once she recovered from having a very minor coughing fit, due to her inhaling pancake mix, she gave me the bird. "Teach you not to do it again then, won't it!" I smirked at her. "Oh well if that's how it's going to be..." she trailed off grabbing the packet of flour from the side and edged closer to me while smirking the whole time. "Don't... you... dare!" I threatened "You don't want to start a battle, that your going to lose!" I told her. She suddenly jumped and threw the flour in my face as well as my hair! "You bitch! Oh your in for it now!" I screamed as I grabbed the milk, unscrewed the lid and threw the whole container, and its contents at her. She grabbed sugar, I grabbed eggs. Then it was getting out of hand when we started raiding the cupboards searching for anything and everything! We both grabbed the mustard and started yanking for it, fighting over the bottle. We both squeezed it, and the bright yellow sauce flew up into the air, before coming back down and on us! We both gasped and laughed, however we then looked around the kitchen. "Shit" we both muttered in sync. "Katrina, grab the mop and bucket!" I ordered her, she nodded and ran off to get it. I on the other hand, grabbed a cloth and some antibacterial wash for the counter tops. Katrina comes sprinting back into the room, holding a grey plastic bucket, hopefully, containing luke warm water and a brand new mop. She puts them down and looks at me. "What are you waiting for?!" I ask her as I start to clean down the surfaces. "Oh" is all she manages to say as her cheeks heat up, "Did you really think that I was going to clean all of it up by myself when part of it was you too?!" I scoffed "Well..." she paused a few seconds thinking "Yeah, yeah I guess I did, after all it's your house" she smirked "Yeah and it's your mess, so less talk more walk!" I shot back. I smiled as I watched her head drop and she muttered words underneath her breath. Hmmm I love having great come backs! They work like a 'lucky charm'!

Katrina's pov

We spent roughly an hour cleaning up the mess, which was painfully boring by the way, and then another 10 minutes actually cooking the rest of the pancakes, instead of throwing it everywhere. I went to grab the flour packet off the side of the counter, when Cassie snatched the bag before I could even be within a 20 centimetre radius of it. "Jeez... calm your tits, I was only going to put it away!" I say "Sure you were only going to put it away, and my tits are calm thank you very much!" she spat. I hate it when I can't say anything like that back, it really annoys me. I say something good, she says something better and then I have nothing! It's not fair! I don't know where she gets them from. The ambulance from last night, is still parked in the exact same spot, and there has been no sign of the paramedics anywhere, which worries me a little bit. Surely they would have everything under control... right? No other emergency services came to help them, so they must have had everything under control. But that's where I'm confused... why would they have not came out. Maybe they took the back door, wait no that house doesn't have a back route. What could have happened, but yet at the same time, I don't want to know. I swallow hard, as i feel the rising bile from my stomach. "Cassie?" I ask "Yeah?" she replies while finishing off the last pancake. "That noise last night, what do you think it was?" I ask carefully My stomach began to churn "I-" she began, the look of uneasiness dilating her pupils "Is it scary and worrying that I wouldn't know?" She asked cautiously, and immediately my face paled. Now you might think, 'well no, it's not really scary that she doesn't know, because she wasn't in there from whence it occurred!' but that's when I have to explain. You see whenever unexplainable stuff happens, she always either knows what it is, or has a logical explanation for it. Weird yeah I know, but this is why I am so unbelievably scared right now! I looked back up at Cassie as i watched the uneasiness in her eyes disappear, until it was taken over by horror. I then knew that she was thinking the same as me. I was then in 'that moment' expecting her to turn around to me and say something like; 'Haha jokes on you I was only kidding, it was probably just...' or 'it was...' and then explain it, but that's what scared me the most... she didn't!
