so if you don't know what salad fingers is basically it's a series of 10 episodes on youtube starting a strange weird guy and basically just everything about it is fucked up. the full series is below
so basically this theory is about how the plot point of the series is about the Great War. Now let me go into detail...
Salad Fingers constantly mentions this "war" throughout the series. What this "war" was, when and how it started is currently unknown.
one theory about this war states that it was most likely nuclear. it was beloved to have world-wide conflict and resulted in the deaths of billions of people. this also may explain why the characters of salad fingers are how they are.

they may have been mutated during the nuclear fallout of the war, explaining the desolate appearance of the show, and may also be the reason why Salad Fingers is the only living creature for miles, and why he has finger puppets as his only company.

Most of the characters are unable to speak, (most likely too mutilated to even do so) which explains why Salad Fingers narrates what they say, also explaining why Salad Fingers is so shocked when he hears the little girl speak in episode 5 (he most likely hadn't heard another voice in a long time.
it's believed that the Great War was most likely WW1, because WW1 was also known as the "Great War". a possibility is that this is an alternate history where WW1 actually destroyed the world and all the people Salad Fingers mentions died in the war and he went crazy.
Another example that supports this is in the end of episode 7 where Salad Fingers says to Kenneth's corpse "back to the trenches with you", for most of WW1 was fought in the trenches, commonly referred to as trench warfare.
