Chapter 10- Getting ready

**Alice**

"Mom, did you ask Fred to take me out last night?" Asked chic - "it's just he was , I don't know , awkward.. like he felt forced to talk to me"
"No sweetie! Of course not , I guess Fred just thought you were talented " his mother answered she was lying , but he couldn't tell.
He just nodded at her reply and picked up his knife and fork to cut his waffles.

"Morning guys" said Betty , letting out a yawn as she walked down the stairs and rubbed her eyes.
"Morning honey , there's some waffles on the table" said Alice in a fake peppy tone trying to sound a lot more put together than she actually was.
Betty smiled at her mum and went and joined chic at the table; Alice following behind.

They were all sat together ,as if they were a happy family but that was far from true; they all had their own demons to hide.
"So when does dad get back?" Said Betty breaking the silence.
Alice's facial expression soon changed and her face was full of secrets- "tomorrow " she plastered a fake smile across her face , she was dreading his return , would he in some twisted way know that fp had been here , that they had kissed?!
She looked down at her watch to see the time -10:35AM , fp had messaged her at 9AM telling her that he'll be at the edge of sweet water river at 11, he text;
'Hey Ali, I'll be at sweet water river on the sand at 11AM later today, it's your choice wether you turn up.i hope you do x'

After realising the time she hopped up from her chair "I'm gunna go get ready for the day" she said , her cheeks were rosy red from her blushing.

She reached her room and opened her closet to see all her clothes and not knowing what on earth to wear! Suddenly her eyes were drawn to her red snake skin blouse , she smirked as she pulled it off the hanger and paired it with some slightly high-waisted shorts that barely covered all her bum! She knelt down to the draws at the bottom to find some heels. She knew that wearing heels to a river wasn't the smartest idea but she had to try her best to look good for FP. In the end she picked a pair of gorgeous red heels with very thin yet detailed straps - they went with her outfit perfectly.

Her blouse was bright red with a very deep slit in the front letting her cleavage show very boldly. She knew fp loved her body, heck he even told her last night.
She hadn't worn these clothes in years, she hadn't needed to. She hadn't let out her true self , the devil within. She stared down at the clothes she had laid out on the end of her bed and smiled to herself, she sighed as she asked herself what she was waiting for and she started getting changed.

Wow - she thought to herself looking in the body length mirror on the front of the wardrobe. She didn't want to be vain but she was proud of what she looked like. The final step was to do her makeup. Sitting down at her stunning dressing table, Alice stared ahead at herself in the small oval mirror. She put on her usual makeup. She didn't bother contouring and things like that because although she wanted to impress fp , she didn't want to not be herself. Besides he was never into the whole 'tons of makeup idea' , she was stunning and he knew that with all of his heart.

She applied mascara on her beautiful long eyelashes that shadowed her ocean blue eyes and a layer of a seductive red lipstick on her lips and rubbed them together. Her lips matched her top and shoes.

Standing up, she strode over to the window to make sure Betty and chic were both leaving. Betty was walking down the street to school and chic was walking in the opposite direction heading to work. She nervously breathed, was she ready! What was even happening today , fp never really told her what they would be doing, just that they had to meet at 11 at sweet water river. Alice glanced down at her delicate golden watch, It was 10:50. She smiled and blushed and headed downstairs.

For the first time in a while she was exited, she was happy. She glanced around the downstairs of her house , knowing that tomorrow when Hal got back, all her happiness will be gone and her life would go back to complete and utter hell.
She shook her head , trying to shake out the negativity and strode out the door.. it was time.

**Fp**

"You ready to go boy?" Fp said patting his son on the shoulder. Jughead nodded as he picked up his bag -
"Yeah me and Betty are gonna meet at pops before school" said jug "I'll see you later dad" he continued , smiling at his dad and giving him a pat back.

"See you jug , uhh what time will you be back later?" Said fp continuing the conversation.
"Actually dad,quite late , me and Betty are working on a big story for the blue and gold , Archie and Veronica are helping so we're all staying at Archie's tonight. Hope that's okay" jug replied.
"Yeah of course , just checking. You don't want to be late, see you tomorrow then" Fp said as Jughead smiled and left the trailer.

Fp glanced down at his watch , it was 10:40 and he was meeting Alice at 11. He rushed into his bedroom and opened his drawers to pull out some black jeans , not baggy at all but not too tight either, a perfect fit. He didn't really own many nice clothes but he had a few nice shirts and things saved away for occasions. And this to him was an occasion. He then moved his way over to his wardrobe and got out an all black button up shirt. Alice thought that all black suited fp , it brought out the depth of his eyes. He then grabbed his serpent jacket to go over the top. He wasn't planning on wearing his jacket all day but to keep warm .. besides he didn't even know if she was definitely coming, he could only hope and pray.

Lastly he put some hair gel in his hair and groomed it backwards giving him a sexy roughed-up vibe that he knew Alice would adore.

It was 10:55 and he had to start making his way down to the river. So he slid his feet into some black shoes and made his way out of the door. Taking the truck instead of the motorcycle so him and Alice could sit in the back. It was time..

A/N- hey Angels! I'm so sorry i haven't uploaded in a little while. I was a bit stuck for inspiration on where to take my story next but I have wrote the next few chapters and will be publishing them soon! Also guys apparently this weeks riverdale (2x19) is really sad for Alice and we find out who chics real father is and I'm nervous, exited, scared and happy all at the same time ahahah!
