Mugman had fallen asleep on the couch, while Cuphead and him were watching television.
He had a blanket over him, Cuphead must of brought it down for him. But the television was turned off.

He looked around, but Cuphead wasnt anywhere to be seen.

"Elder Kettle im sorry!" Cuphead shouted, almost yelled actually. But it didn't sound angry at all, almost defensive mixed with nervousness.

Whats going on now? Mugman said. He pulled the blanket off his legs. Standing up he went to go see what the two were bickering about. Though he didn't wan't to be apart of it.

He looked into the living room. Again hiding avaseuvey behind the framing of the door. Elder Kettle now talked quieter now, to the point to where Mugman could't hear him even from where he was standing. Even his tone was muted so he couldn't understand the situation any further. Cuphead's face was looking away from him. But Mugman caught his eye. He turned his head just egnough to make contact with his brother.
His eyes were wet with tears.

Crying? Cuphead? I don't rember thr last time Cuphead had cried before.

Mugman watched Cuphead is concern. "Elder Kettle I can explain myself." Cuphead said, his words were shaky.

Afraid, of Elder Kettle Cuphead must be.

Cuphead jerked his head, looking at Mugman intensely. He took that as a sign thst he must leave.

Mugman turned around, walking down the hall. As he continued he reheard the yelling of Elder Kettle and Cuphead.

"Cuphead" he murmured worridly to himself.

...

Elder Kettle and Cuphead had gotten into a fight that day. Currently it was midday and Elder Kettle had let the house again for a unknown reason to both Cuphead and Mugman.

Cuphead sat on his bad solemly. Mugman sat next to him. "Cuphead?" He asked, he wrapped Cupheads arm up with some cloth it had "chipped" a little.

"What happened?" Mugman asked. Cuphead stayed sighlent "I dont really want to talk about it." Cuphead said passively.

"Cuphead why don't you want to tell me." His eyes shifted around the messy room of Cuphead. He looked on the table, Cuphead had cleared of any signs of him drinking alcohol or taking "medicine"

"Was it about that?" He asked.

Cuphead stood up, pushing Mugman away. "Mugman I told you... That I didn't wan't to talk about it."

Mugmans patience was getting short with Cuphead. "Cuphead. Please tell me! How can I help or even stop this if I dont know what the problem is?" Mugman snapped. He didn't want to loose his temper but gosh was Cuphead making it difficult.

Cuphead held his hand in a fist. Only because of stress Mugman couldn't imagine...

"Mugman I told you im not talking about it! How many times do i have to tell you!" Cuphead voice becane raged. His eyes were angry at Mugman with anger that was unjustified.

Mugman stood up taken aback by Cupheads tone. Cuphead eyed him. Walking to the door he put his hand on the door nob. "Alright, okay. Im sorry Cups..." He said. He murmured the last part even quiter. "I was just trying to help you." He said, opening the door he heard it creak with every moment. Mugman walked out. He could see that Cuphead was frozen. He didn't move or speak only watch him as he walked away.

But he saw behind all that, him covering his face and sitting down at the bed to cry yet again.

Mugman couldn't help him of he couldnt cooperate with him! But still his subtle action made himself regrets it knowing that at this moment Cuphead probably needed reassurance.
