It was a week later. Mugman hadn't done much that week. He barley talked to Cuphead either, and that was the thing that was worring him the most. But he knew at this point that Cuphead was not angry at him.

It was morning. Mugman noticed that thr door to Cuphead's room was closed as he walked past it. He sighed reflecting on his emotions, though he knew that Cuphead would talk to him when he felt like it, right? Besides he didn't do anything wrong so their was no reason for Cuphead to be mad at him anyways.

He knocked on the door. "Uh Cuphead. Im going out... do you wanna come?" He asked. He heard Cuphead move around in his bedroom.

"No thanks...Mugs." He stated. Mugman shrugged not really expecting a yes anyways. Though it couldn't hurt to ask.

He decided that he would go walk around outside for a while. There wasn't anything better to do, anyways maybe he would get some ideas. As Mugman opened the front door. He realized that he was in his mid twenties and yet still didn't have a job. Not thinking much of it at the moment although it would be an idea he would ponder yet again in the future.

Mugman grabbed his jacket before he went outside, today looked like it was going to be a cold day. Winter was starting soon, he could already see the usally warm days becoming colder. That meant a few good things and bad things for him. Snow he had always thought of it as the best thing, he rembered when he and Cuphead used to play in it together. Those where some of his best times. But none of that was anymore.

Zipping it up he took his first step outside, feeling the cold just as was expected. It was windy as well. He didn't know where he was going there wasn't really anywhere for him to go. He continued walking lost in his thoughts.

...

Somehow yet again as he was walking along he spotted Goopy. Mugman paused wondering if he should make contact, the slime probably never wanted to see him again after the fool of himself he made that one night.

Dont be silly mugman. He contradicted himself. He stood up straight waving his hand to call attention to himself. Goopy turned and smiled. "Howdy Goopy!" Mugman called aloud.

"Heya Mugs." Goopy said. Mugman smiled stuffing his hands into the pocket of his jacket. "Hey Goopy it has been a bit, what ya' been up to?" Mugman asked, just listening to Goopy talk would be more intresting than anything else he had planned.

"Nothing much. I was dealing with some problems with the root pack again." Goopy said, his eyes flicked over to a direction leading Mugman's eyes to spot a broken fence. "They did this?" Mugman asked. Goopy nodded sadly, "I saw 'em do it. I don't know how to fix a fence though so it is going to have to stay like that." Goopy said.

Mugman pushed his straw back into place that had moved with the blowing wind. "Hmm" He said, walking over to it. Goopy bounced behind, allowing Mugman to examine the damage. "So just the fence?" Mugman asked. "Mmmmhmmm" Goopy responded.

He picked up a peice of the derbis. "I think I can actually fix this for you!" Mugman said excited that he would actually have something to work on.

Goopys eyes lit up with excitement. "Really, Mugman that would be amazing! Say how much do you charge."

Mugman thought about thst for a moment. But it would probably be best to let Goopy have a freebie this time, after all it would be kind of a payback after he kindly took Mugman home.

"Nah you don't have to pay me. Consider it a gift." Mugman daid crossing his arms.

"No.No. I insist, that I pay you. I Think you could use this anyways" Goopy glanced over to the direction of Mugman's house. He took some money out of his pocket and shoved to towards Mugman.
