Hermione laughed and told him to hurry up. She gave Malfoy a strange look.
'I was wondering, if you would, perhaps, do me the honour of being my girl friend?'
She laughed awkwardly and glanced to Draco who looked increasingly deflated as the moment went on.
'Uh, can I hear Draco now, before I answer?'
'I'm here to thank you, but I won't keep you longer.' He handed her the flowers and left. Draco didn't know how to feel. He had come to, well, say thanks but seeing Ron had made him feel so .... jealous.
Hermione grinned at Ron and nodded, cheerful, as if it was easy saying yes to your best friend. So may questions, but she found she didn't care. She looked wistfully after Draco but ignored him and laughed at Ron's puppy dog expression.
