Chaptet 4. Dead Forest

"Mia.... lets go". Someone called mia
She looked in that direction. But nobody was there. She tried to figure out but it was dark everywhere. She didnt know where she is. Suddenly someone grabbed her hand and pulled her and started running. She had no idea what going on.
"Let me go....".She wanted to pull her hand but the grip was too tight.
"Who are you". She asked  but no  response.....
She was running, following him actually she was being pulled by the force....

After some time they got out of the dark.... she looked at the person who was draging her but it left a shock on her face.
"Dad." Only a word that mia could speak at that time. She was surprise and happy but she had no idea whats going on.
"Dad.... you are here...  how... i mean.. you were dead no but you are here alive ....  dad....". Tears left mia's eyes and went down to her cheeks.
"Sorry my dear". Her dad said and started to move back... as he steped back she looked and noticed that they were on the edge of the road. Her father took 2 more steps.
"Stop dad...". She yelled but its too late her father closed his eyes and fall down....
"Noooooooooo.....
Dad........". She screamed with closed eyes are high as she could....

"No dad......". Mia woke up with a shock... she was sweating and breathing verg fast.... She was.... crying.... a tear fall off her check as she realised it was a dream.
The feeling of her dad dying was painful for her.

"Mia.... are you coming down or not". Her stepmom called her with anger. But she didn't listen cuz she was still in shock.
"Mia come down fast or i am coming upstairs". Her stepmom called her again completely yelling....
"Coming mom". She replied coming back to her senses.

She jumped off the bed and went to the bathroom after few minutes she was standing in front of her mom downstairs.

"Mia... what take you so long. You sleeped this late. Don't you know how much work you have to do today." Her stepmom yelled at her.

"Sorry mom... i was just having a bad dr.....". She wanted to tell her bug intrepted by her mom.

"Okay okay... dont explain. I dont have much time to stand here and listening your excuses." Her mom said.

"Go and make breakfast. I and your elder sisiter have to go for shopping. And we dont wang to be late". She said her pointing towards the kitchen.

She went to the kitchen and made breakfast. And started doing other works.
" she didn't remember even my birthday". Mia felt sad.
"Mia". Her mom called her from the lounge.

"Yes mom". Mia asked as she saw her step mom and sisiter dressed well
"We are going for shopping. So you stay at home". Her mom told her and they moved towards the door.

"And remeber... dinner should be ready when we reach home. And its saturday so dont forget to clean whole house and wash the bedsheets and curtains". Her mom told her and leave the door and her sisited followed her mom giving mia a evil smirk.

She came back to the kitchen and started working. After finishing there she went into the rooms and took out bedsheets for wash.

IN EVENING:

it took her whole day doing cleaning and washing. She was too tired now. As she came into the lounge and sat on the sofa.. she closed her eyes for a while..
She was thinking about her dream.
Dad. I miss you so much. I am happy to see you in my dream but why you are sorry to me. I want to see you dad. I miss you. I really miss you. You know i got mom's locket. I loves you mom. I love you dad.  She thought holding the locket in her hand.

"Oh no.. I forgot." She jumped out of the sofa and ran to the kitchen.
"Mom and sistet will be coming any time. I have to prepare dinner for them." She said to herself while looking for what to make.

There is nothig good to make for dinner. I have to go and bring from the market. She thought and took the basket in hef hand and came out of the house.
"Spike lets go.... ". She called spike as he ran into her arms.
She moved towards the market.

She boughg some vegetables and chicken for the dinner and some fruits and left for the home. While coming back to the home she looked at her favourite place that pond... where she used to come with her dad.
She wanted  to go home but she also wanted to spend some time here... so she decided to sit here for a while.
Mia and spike moved towards the pond. She sat under the green tree and put the basket aside. She closed her eyes. She wanted to take rest. She wanted to feel free. She wanted to go for the shopping . She wanted to drees well. Sbe wanted to play with friends but her life didn't allow her.
She was siiting, putting her back with the tree as she heared that spike is barking.
"Whag happened spike". She opened her eyes and looked at spike why he was barking.
She saw some squirl near the basket eating fruits and vegetables.
"Oh no". She tried to make them run.
Spike ran aftet the squirls.
He went into the forest barking behind them.
"Wait spike.... where are you going". She ran after spike. She tired to catch her but he was too fast. She was running after him calling her name. And he disappear.
"Spike ..... spike where are you". She called his name looking for him. It was evening and completely  dark inside the forest.
She didn't realized  that she came deep inside the forest.
It was forbidden for the citizens to go there...  It was consided as the dead forest due to deadly wild animals.
"Spike...".she called her again as she saw a familiar figure.
" so here you are". She saw spike who was siting behind some bushes. She leaned to catch her. But she heared some noise..
She couldnt understand so she moved the bushes with her hands and looked for it.
She saw a figure look like a man standing in front of her facing back at some distance . She also noticed another figure.. but it wasn't a human. It was like a dog a huge dog.... with sharp teeth and big red eyes.... she had never saw such a big animal. She was unable to decide what was that.
But it made her scared... she dont want to be noticed  so she tried to moved back without any noise.

As she steped back a bunch of small sticks stucked in her feet and she landed on them making them crushed....
With this sound she get noticed by the man standing there....
She was too scared to get up...
Her heart was beating so fast...
She didnt know what to do....
The dog like animal looked at her.

Two red eyes was looking at her
.

.
.
His anger was showing through it
Mia thought its her last day of life...
And then he jumped on her
