I just sat in the doorway of Crystals room, just crying my eyes out. I felt like God was punishing me for things we did in the past. Didn't God know that those things had to happen? Also, she will be heavily guarded there vs here. "wait what do you mean Crystal she's al--alive Oh thank God thank God. I jumped to my feet and hugged. Nurse Ashleigh Thank you thank you. "but what do you mean she will be heavily guarded. Well. Ms. Mccall,"no call me Keisha you've earned that right. Okay, Keisha, I'll let this detective explain everything. Detective wai-- wait a minute now what...
A tall light skinned man approached me. He looked as if he stood 6 feet tall. His demeanor gave an impression that he meant business. Hello, Ms. Mccall, I'm Detective Montgomery, when he spoke his voice filled the room. "hi how are you, why is it that Crystal is being heavily GUARDED? I asked putting emphasis on the word guarded. Well, let's just say she in some sort of protective custody. Protective custody from Who? Ms. Mccall earlier today attempt was made on Ms. Ellis's life, by one of Danny Toliver goons or top-ranked men. This is probably who made the same attempt the night she was rushed to the hospital.
Ms. Mccall, I need to ask you some questions about that night and also inform you of what will happen going forward. Here's my card when you get some time. Please come to the station I would like to talk to you about some things that occurred that night. Okay, thanks. I take the card from him and place it in my purse. Detective Montgomery, who is Danny Tolliver? I'll explain everything when you come to the station. Please allow me to take you over to Emory University" No thanks I drove but I will be down to see you soon. Okay well, then I'll see you soon.

Welcome to Emory University Hospital, How can I assist you? the young Hispanic woman asks me um yes, could you tell me what room my sister is in, please. I sure can what's her last name? Ellis ok and her first name ma'am its's Crystal. The woman quickly types the information into the system Ummm we don't have anyone here by that name. Did she just come in? Ma'am, I'm not even sure. Let me make a phone call, I'll be right back. I quickly pulled out the card the detective gave me and dialed the number listed.
The phone rings for at least 30 seconds and Detective Montgomery's husky voice booms through the phone. "Detective Montgomery, Hi this is Keisha Mccall I'm at Emory University, but they are saying Crystal isn't here. "I'm pulling into the hospital Now. Will you wait and we can walk up together what part of the hospital are you?" I'm at the ER entrance. Okay, I'll be waiting. Very soon after Detective Montgomery walks in.
He walked into the desk where the Hispanic woman sat, She's with me. Follow me, he said. As I followed him into the elevator, I asked him " where is Crystal is she not here because the lady at the desk said that she wasn't listed. Yet here you are and I guess we are headed to her room. Ms. Mccall, let me explain. He looks to the left of him and there is a man in his mid-thirties. He then looks back at me give me a moment to gather my thoughts he tells me. The elevator dings on the 4th floor, the doors open and the man gets off. Once the doors close, Detective Montgomery begins to speak again.
Crystal's name is in the system under an alias due to the attempt on her life. Her alias name is Sandy Brown and you're also listed under an alias under family. Your name is Kara Fuller so if anyone asks you her name or yours you simply say either of those and I do mean anybody, trust no one. Now as I stated before she is in protective custody, meaning someone is supposed to be near her room at all times. We didn't want anyone posted outside because that draws more attention then we need.
So, Detective what exactly happened at the other hospital? Well according to the surveillance tapes. Approximately 40 minutes after you left a light-skinned man with glasses walked passed the ER front desk through the O.R double doors and passed the O.R waiting room using disguised as a doctor. Which is why he was able to get so far.
This is our floor. Let's pause the story for a bit. he says. The elevator dings and we get off on the 7th floor ICU. The floor is crowded with nurses doctors and aides. Everyone is busy compared to the other hospital. There is a circular marble round desk sitting in the middle of the floor. Sitting behind the desk is a man. He smiles at Detective Montgomery. Yes, sir How can I help you? Detective Montgomery looks above the desk on the wall there is a big board with patients' last names plastered all over it. The board also listed what nurse, doctor and aide are assigned to that patient. I think I've got what I needed Detective Montgomery says to the man. Then he continues the story in a lower tone.
"He was stopped by one of the nurses she began asking him questions and his answers were not adding up. After speaking with him she called security but by the time security arrived Crystal had already been stabbed three times and the man already fled the scene. Luckily the doctors were able to stitch her up in time before she loss to much blood. Here is her room and I'll let you go in if you need anything I'll be over there speaking with two of our undercovers. The man dressed in the plaid shirt and cowboy boots and the other dressed in the black leather jacket with black shades on who appears to be sleep. Thanks for your help Detective.
I step into the room and I look at my cousin Crystal can you hear me? Crystal turns and looks at me, Keisha...., I'm so glad you're okay. Good because I think you have some explaining to do.
