**TEASER**
She smelt of wood smoke and ash. Her scarlet eyes simmered like stubborn embers. Her luscious locks rivaled the darkness of the starless night and contrasted sharply against her silky pale skin. The nondescript shift she wore clung to her every curve, and the blood red cloak she hasitly threw over her self accentuated her slender neck and small shoulders. Her slender hands clutched awkwardly at the too heavy dagger she held in front of her trying to ward away her would-be-assassin. Her hands showed no signs of harsh work only confirming that her work was of the mental variety. The man gazed once more into her signature red eyes and knew that he could not do as he was ordered. For his precious mate was none other than the Seer he had come to kill.
"Surely my Queen will forgive me for disobeying her orders." That thought was all it took for the man to come to a decision.
The resigned sigh that left his lips alerted the Seer but she was not prepared for his speed or the tingles that spread where ever he touched her. Nor was she prepared for the whispered word against her ear that rendered her useless and limp…"Sleep."
_____
This could not be happening‼ The Seer silently cursed her foolishness for not realizing her lack of foresight was due to the man that now stood in front of her, after all Seers could not see any visions that contained one's mate.
The Seer tried to calm her nerves by taking a deep breath but only inhaled the distracting scent of her mate.
He smelt of impending snow and frost. His eyes chilled like frozen moss. His skin was scarred and his hands rough. His frame spoke of hard labor and wicked skills.
The Seer cursed the fates for the lack of her foresight and wished a thousand deaths upon their heads. How could this be happening on this night of all nights, the eve before her wedding to the King?
His sigh alerted her, his quick movement and firm touch distracted her, but his soft whispered word informed her. Her True Mate was a Spellbinder and she was hopeless to fight against his influence.
