◈Chapter 22◈

(Your Pov)

As you hurried to get everything done, you spill the lemonade all over the kitchen floor. You curse yourself for rushing. You hear footsteps coming from your hallway and a low laugh.

"What happened here?" David says as he watched you clean the spilled drink. You look up at him and scoff at his reaction then continued to clean up.

"Well, I am sorry but preparing for a party is really stressful if you don't have someone helping you." You say as you look up at David, who had his hands crossed.

"Fine, I will help ye." As if on cue, the dogs come in from the backyard with muddy paws and run all around the kitchen. You rise up from your crouching position and cross your arms in defeat.

"Come on! I just cleaned the kitchen!" You instantly went to grab the dogs and took them outside, closing the patio door so they wouldn't get in again.

"We are going to have to bathe them for the party." You say as you get the mop ready. David grabs the mop from you and kisses your forehead.

"Ya did a lot for today, start getting ready." You smile at David and just admired him as he recovered from his injuries. That is why you are throwing a party for him, to celebrate his recovery. You have planned it from the day he was let out of the hospital. The gang should be coming anytime soon from their hotel rooms. You wanted it to be a surprise but he found out through Brian. He meant to text me about David's party but he accidentally texted David.

Brian apologized multiple times and you forgave him, it wasn't really much of a big deal but Brian was truly sorry. You give David a quick kiss and headed towards your room where you will have another problem, figuring out what to wear. You wanted something simple but also something fun. You decided to wear a dark green flowy shirt that had white roses imprinted on it, dark blue ripped jeans with a brown belt, a matching denim coat, and dark green flats.

As you got dressed, you decided to put your hair into a normal side braid. Not wanting to go all out, you put on simple makeup like winged eyeliner, mascara, and a bit of a nude lipstick. Satisfied with your look, you turn around to find David at the doorway.

"If ye are wondering how long I have been standing here, it was only seconds. I came to let ya know that I cleaned the pups and that the guests arrived." You smile as he stood there, looking smug.

"Ya look lovely dear." David says as he approaches you, grabs your waist and hugs you. You blush lightly and playfully push him away.

"Come on, we don't want to keep them waiting." You say as you walk out of your room and into the living room where the guys all stood with something for the party.

"Welcome everybody! Please don't hesitate to set your things down in the kitchen and prepare for some outside activities." You say, sounding like a professional.

"Jeez (Y/N), we are your friends, not business workers." Brian says, earning a laugh from everyone else. I sigh and giggles as well. Everybody went into the kitchen and helped set up. There you were introduced to Marcel's wife, Simone, and Tyler's girlfriend, Kelly. The two are very cheery and energetic.

As the guys were outside barbecuing, the girls were inside setting everything up. You soon heard a knock on your door and you went to open it. You smiled as your best friend arrived and. . .a stranger?

"Hey! The name is Johnathan, I am Nogla's friend." You stared at the light skinned man as he entered.

"Wow, it's a pleasure to meet you- what do they call you? Oh yeah! Delirious!" You say as you close the door and shook his hand. He only let's out a crazy chuckle and the guys all come in to meet the guy.

"Woah Delirious! You made it!" David says happily as he hugs him. They all return to barbecuing and you return to the girls who have already finished setting everything up.

"Alright guys, the rest of the burgers are ready for cooking and the salad is also ready, don't hesitate to grab some." You say ad you and the girls go outside to the table and set the stuff down.

It started getting late and you all enjoyed the beautiful sunset. The burgers were eaten, the salad was great, and you were enjoying a little party with your friends. David was laughing along with the guys and the girls were having their own one-on-one conversation. You grabbed your drink and stood up.

"Can I have everybody's attention please?" Everyone paused their conversations and turned towards you. You instantly felt the anxiety kick in but slowly calmed yourself down.

"I would like to make a toast." As you said that, everyone grabbed their drinks and raised them up.

"To the strongest man I know here, not you Tyler." Everybody laughed and you focused on the person you were mainly thinking about.

"To David, for fighting his injuries, for saving me, for sharing the same interests as  me, for helping each and every one of us with something, for letting us know that we are more than who we are. . ."

At this point, David was by your side and you stared into his eyes.

"For teaching me to love again." He smiled as you said those words. Everyone were in awe as they stared at the two of you.

"We thank the Lord for keeping you with us and I couldn't thank you enough for everything." He kissed you passionately and you giggled as he broke the kiss.

"To David!" You said.

"To David!" Everyone repeated and you all drank your drinks and David picked you up and spun you.

"You are very precious to me (Y/N), I would do anything for you." He says as he held you. You wrap your arms, well you tried to at least, around his neck and stared into his eyes. You thought about everything. How he helped you the first day you moved here, how he had your dog when she ran off, how he listened to you, how he saved you.

You both deserved eachother.

You both loved dogs, you both were heart broken at some point, you both shared the same interests which made you connect with him in some unique way.

You both loved eachother.

Your Similarities are what got you together.
