Brad

I couldn't make sense of anything that was happening around me. What I thought was going to be a normal day turned out to be one of the worst days of my life. I thought it was bad when Sam was hitting on Sky, but turns out that it was going to get much worse.

As soon as Sky's eyes closed I went into a mental panic mode. All of my training from becoming a lifeguard sprung back into memory and I instantly checked to make sure she was still breathing and still had a pulse. I brought my face down to hers and turned so that I could feel her faint breaths fan over my cheek. I then went to her delicate hands and gently placed into mine pressing slightly on the end of her finger watching it go white, then rush back with color when I let go.

When my nerves started to finally calm down, I decided that it would be best that she doesn't wake up on the couch... I don't want her to remember what just happened so quickly.

I gently slid one of my arms under her knees and the other behind her back so I could pick her up and carry her bridal style. After successfully doing this I slowly got to me feet and off the couch walking into the hallway where I busted through. Realizing this I left the front door open the whole time.

How did no one hear me screaming?

This neighborhood is weird.

I walked over to the door and turned around so that I was able to kick the door closed with the back of my foot then headed off to my previous destination. As my feet came into contact with the worn stairs they would make a creaking noise every time I placed the pressure on my foot to go up the stairs. Once I reached the top platform, I turned down the long hallway to come face to face with her door. I used my shoulder and gently gave it a push for it to open to reveal her room.

I've never been in her room before; I don't think that any male had placed a foot in her room besides her father. That thought made me choke up a bit; but after pushing it into the back of my mind I swiftly walked over to her bed, placing her down so her head hit the pillow and turned off to the side.

I took the blanket that was placed at the bottom of her bed and placed it over her so she wouldn't get cold.

After feeling somewhat satisfied with my work, I sat down at the bottom of the bed and admired Sky in her sleeping form. She truly was a true image of beauty. Letting my hormones take control of me, I slowly slid into bed with her. If only she would only look at me the way she does with Sam, then maybe things could be a little different. I snuggled close to her and placed my arm around her body giving me the feeling that I was at ease. I slowly let the sleep that I needed take over my body.

I get awaken by the slight movements of something around me, opening one eye I notice that Sky is starting to stir in her sleep. All of my memories start to flood back to my brain of the past events that occurred earlier today. Mentally slapping myself, I realized that she would kill me knowing that I was in her room, and lying in bed with her... Not wanting to deal with any of that till later I decided not to wake Sky but just place an arm around her calming her instantly.

"Don't worry, I know you don't want to be alone right now." I silently spoke.

Where my hand was placed made her arch herself so that she could come more into my touch. I took that as my chance to pull her closer so that she was facing my chest and I could wrap both of my arms around her. She moved her head so it rested against my chest, snuggling in as close as possible.

I couldn't help but smile. This is what I've wanted for the longest time, even though she may not know what is happening it still makes the butterflies in my stomach knowing that she is so close to me. She smelt like vanilla, and her long golden hair is so soft to the touch; it reminds me how lucky I am to have her in my life.
