Chapter 3: Some Nights
I arrive at her apartment at 5:59. I knock and she opens the door.
As the door opens, she says "Henry my darling, you look ravishing!". I start laughing really hard.
I look up at her to see her with a stern face. I instantly say the first thing that comes to my mind.
"Why..so..serious!" I say
"You like movies I see, haha!" She says.
"Why wouldn't I?"
"Let's just get going before we end up spending our night on references"
She laughs.
We arrived at the restaurant and parked. We go inside and the waitress guides us to our seats.
"So I'll break the ice. How are classes for you?"
"Pretty good so far. I have mostly B's how about you?
Smart, and Pretty. Yes!
"My grades are cool, but the tuition is killing me."
"I think you just made the worst pun out there, by far"
The waiter came over and asked what we wanted to drink and I said Water.
She orders the priciest thing. Some Chardonnay.
"I'll be back with your drinks" He says
"Chardonnay?"
"Told you I was pricey. Plus, you ordered water, so, you're not one to talk for bad things to order on a first date."
The waiter comes back with our drinks and asks us what we want to eat. I order Fish and Chips, and she orders a Caesar salad.
"Oooo, nice picks" he says.
He comes back with our food
"Well, how's your salad?" I say
"It's worth dying for" She says
"You're bad at making Shakespeare references"
"Compliments? Wow? Thanks." She says"
"I do my best, haha"
We finished dinner and then I drove her home.
"Tonight was fun. Thank you" she says
"No problem. You are fun to talk to, ahah!"
She laughs and kisses me.
"Good night" she smiles and walks away.
