It was late into the evening now and around lunch time Cheryl and Liam's family members and closest friends all came for a get together for Bear's first birthday and all had went well. Although, it wasn't long ago that people started to disappear from Bear's birthday party as the very tired boy had fallen asleep on most of the guests due to having a very full on day which he wasn't used to. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves as it wasn't often they were all together as a family due to there being so many of them and it was always hard to see each other since they were all from different places too. So whenever it was an occasion like this they all came together which was very important to Cheryl and Liam as they both came from very close families and wanted Bear to grow up with that too. Cheryl and Liam had been pottering round the house for some time cleaning things up and putting some things away so they didn't have to do it later and could have a lazy night in. Lazy nights were definitely Cheryl and Liam's favourites and they tried to have them as often as possible because it was important for them to spend some down time together. Liam would be going to Dubai in some days time too to do some performances surrounding his solo career, so Cheryl wanted to spend as much time with him as possible as when he went away she really did miss him, as much as she didn't let it show. Although, in a couple of weeks time Cheryl, Liam and Bear would be jetting out to the Maldives for a family holiday which was very much needed. Ever since having Bear, they'd only been on a family holiday once in the summer when Bear was only five months old and even though he wasn't capable of doing much it was still an amazing experience they shared together as a family and the thought of going away together again in a couple of weeks time made them really quite excited.
"Do you want to go to bed baby?" Liam stroked a lock of hair behind Cheryl's ear as she lay beside him on the sofa having found nothing to watch on the tv after channel flicking for some time now. Although Cheryl shook her head gently in response not feeling too tired yet and wanted to snuggle with Liam for a while longer enjoying one of their last nights in together before Liam went away for a couple of weeks.
"I'm happy here" Cheryl sighed out contently opening her eyes and looking up at her handsome boyfriend with a beaming smile on her face triggering Liam to tap her nose whilst she scrunched it up at him as he found her far too cute.
"Today was so amazing, just seeing everyone here together for our Bear, it was so special" Liam smiled having loved seeing everyone together today as it wasn't often they were all able to get together on occasions such as these, it meaning a lot to him and even though him and Cheryl had only been together for two and a half years, their families were as close as ever.
"I loved it too. It's amazing to see what can happen in a year. It's all because of you yanno. You really did turn my life around Liam". Cheryl confessed, letting Liam know how much she appreciated everything he'd done for her over the last couple of years as right from the beginning he was like a best friend . All the way up to now, some years later, he was a massive support to her and it meant the absolute world. All that could be heard was the sound of the quiet tv on in the background as Liam listened carefully to every word she said. "It's quite scary to think about what things would be like if it hadn't have turned out like this. If I hadn't have met you..." Cheryl continued as Liam remained quiet. He wouldn't usually get emotional at things like this but he could tell it meant a lot to Cheryl and everything she was saying she meant truthfully. That being something Liam loved about Cheryl, he loved how honest she always was about everything, she wore her heart on her sleeve and was never afraid to say what she really felt. "I suppose it's good though to think about that kind of stuff because it makes you realise how great things actually are in your life. I'm very grateful of you Liam and I love..." Cheryl was forced to stop when she didn't even realise the small tear roll down his cheek. She quickly sat up and straddled his waist wiping his tear. "I didn't meant you make you cry! Aw Liam... It was me this morning, now look at you!" Cheryl gulped whilst pulling him into a tight embrace as Liam wrapped his arms around her slender waist.
"You are the best woman in the world and I love you to the moon and back Cheryl..." Liam sniffled, not really having any other words to say other than to explain how much he loved her and he completely meant what he said. His love for Cheryl being unconditional as he had never loved anyone as much as he loved her.
"Aw look at the state of us man! Haha" Cheryl sniffled as a tear managed to escape from her eyes also. Cheryl finding it cute that Liam got upset when Cheryl would say things like this as it showed he really did care about her and Bear and nothing made Cheryl happier knowing that. She tenderly placed her hands on his cheeks and leaned down, pecking him on the lips a few times, gently stroking his cheek with her thumb, wiping away a few more tears that fell from his eyes.
"It's when you go all soppy on me like this... haha" they both chuckled, finding it quite amusing of the state they could get each other into. "And you're right, it really does make you think about how lucky you are... how lucky I am to have the most amazing soulmate ever". Liam smiled catching a smile from Cheryl in return also. No words were left to be said and no actions were left to be done other than a long devoted kiss, there being nowhere else in the world they would rather be in right now other than in eachothers arms.
It was a short while later and Cheryl and Liam had been lying in bed for a while now, chatting away about anything and everything together which they always did. They did some of the most craziest and funniest things in bed before going to sleep and they were definitely the most unserious couple ever at times. They could both talk for hours to each other and conversation would never run dry. "I really meant what I said earlier Liam" Cheryl whispered keeping close contact with Liam's face as they both lay facing each other in a tight embrace.
"I know. I meant it all too... and I always will" Liam buried his hands under her pyjama top and was soothingly stroking his hand up and down her back, always giving her that sense of safety whenever she was in his arms.
"Do you believe in soulmates Liam?" Cheryl questioned a short while later now having her body spooned by Liam's, his body being wrapped round her so tightly was one of her most favourite feelings in the world.
"Absolutely... I've already found my soulmate though" Liam replied squeezing Cheryl's hand before stroking it, making her feel so much affection.
"I've found mine too... I hope they stay with me for a long long time..." Cheryl playfully replied as Liam snuggled his body round her more causing content smiles to appear on both of their faces.
"Me too..." Liam sighed taking Cheryl's hand and linking her pinky finger with his leaving Cheryl puzzled wondering what Liam was implying. "This means we're together, forever and always, we'll always be there for each other no matter what because that's what soulmates do, you're the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with, ok?" Liam continued reaching his head over behind Cheryl's shoulder seeing a beaming smile on her face having made her quite emotional also as she listened to every word he said.
"Well I'm not thinking of going anywhere anytime soon so you're alright Payno haha," Cheryl giggled trying to lighten the mood in the seriousness of the conversation. "Forever, I promise, I love you so much" Cheryl continued meaning what she said as she had never been in love with someone so much in her whole life and she really saw the rest of her life with Liam.
"I love you too princess" Liam smiled still leaning over her shoulder admiring how gorgeous his girlfriend actually was, still keeping his finger linked with hers.
"Soulmates?" Cheryl smiled squeezing Liam's finger tighter, stroking the rest of his hand with her thumb.
"Soulmates. Forever..." Liam smiled back feeling so happy with everything in his life right now before leaning down towards Cheryl before their lips met for a devoted kiss, their tongues caressing each other's not parting for a second. It was times like these where there was no need for any words to be said as their kiss told them both everything they needed to know. Their fingers not unlinking by the slightest, keeping them locked tight together as if their lives depended on it. After an emotional day, they ended making love together like always, the feeling of togetherness being the most important thing to the both of them, this is how it would be for the rest of their lives, forever.
