Things to Remember: Dinner is served Cold

POV: Hades

I was getting ready for the dinner tonight. We could leave for different places to eat, but we had to tell and write down on a board where we were, and we had to be back by 9:00 pm. I combed my hair to it's normal look, hoping the water didn't mess it up too much. Zeus was using the blow dryer, remind me to tell Autumn and Jody that later. They'd probably get a kick out of that. Tucker and Apollo were booked in the same room as us. Zeus complained about why we had to dress nice.

"Well, don't you want to impress your girlfriend...... who've you've cheated on way too much......and make her think that you can be at least a tiny bit gentlemanly?" I asked.

"She knows I'm not that impressive." Zeus replied, shouting over the noise from the hairdryer.

"Whatever." Tucker laughed.

"Will you be joining us?" I asked politely, even though I didn't want him to join us.

"Nope. You go have your fancy tea party, I'm heading with my friends to a pizza joint." Tucker smiled.

"Great!" I smiled. He wasn't coming with us. If it wasn't for my status, I think he'd join. Autumn and Jody didn't want to join us for the fancy things. That was a bit heartbreaking, that they wouldn't. Jody complained she didn't fit in there, and Autumn agreed.

"Well I hope the girls like this." I smiled. Bringing our girlfriends on a date was a smart idea. It was my idea, my brother could never come up with something like this. I smirked at myself in the mirror.

"Where are your friends going?" Zeus asked.

"Out With me." Tucker smiled again.

I froze. Jody and Autumn were going with him? I looked at him.

"So......." I started when a knock came from the door.

"Zap-Zap? We are waiting for Tucker." Autumn called out.

"He is coming." I smiled as Jody complained about the smell of Cologne. Tucker walked over to the door, opening it revealed my friends. Jody in her normal sweatshirt and jeans. Autumn wore a sundress and flip flops. Aidan was wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

"Hello Autumn and Jody. Jody I hope you haven't been bugging out about Government Space trucks." I gave a chuckle.

"She has." Aidan and Autumn said at the same time.

"They're out there............I'll prove it..." Jody said.

"I'm sure you will." I smiled at my crazy friend.

"You bet." Jody smiled.

I watched as Jody and Autumn left. Leaving with them was great...... But watching my only friends leave without my presence made me feel empty. Not my normal empty; just feeling like even more of the darkness was enveloping itself around me. As that feeling sank into my gut I felt an urge to follow and see what was happening. Zeus smiled as he greeted the girls, snapping me back to why I was so dressed up.

"Hey Babe." Zeus smiled at Hera, kissing her head. She smiled and gave a giggle.

"Hello Persephone." I gave a hug to my girlfriend.

"So where is it we are going tonight?" She asked.

"Um, well... where are we going, brother?" Zeus rubbed the back of his neck.

"A place called, 'Gardens of Eden'." I shrugged and took the hand of Persephone. Zeus and Hera followed us as we left.

Walking there took about 10 minutes, and when we got there, I saw them. The Titans opened the door for Autumn, Jody, Aidan, and Tucker, plus a bunch of their other friends. They thanked them and walked in. The building was right next to 'Gardens of Eden'. I walked into the building, holding the door open for my girlfriend and my brothers. We sat down at a booth with a window facing the other building. As the Gods would have it, my friends sat down in the other window seat. I looked out to see Autumn and Jody sitting opposite of eachother. Aidan sat next to Autumn, Tucker sat next to Aidan. The table looked to be one of those round booth tables. The rest of their friends sat the way around. Beka and her boyfriend sat next to Jody. Autumn seemed to laugh at something Aidan said. Jody's friend looked okay with Autumn being there but Autumn seemed unformtable.

"Hades." I heard Zeus say.

"Yes?" I turned to look at him.

"Order?" Zeus chuckled.

Everyone else was talking about swimming, which I wasn't in. Of course it was swimming. I watched my friends again. Autumn and Aidan had disappeared along with Tucker. But they returned with drinks and such. I let out a breath. I wish I could read minds or something to hear them. Autumn said something and Jody laughed, she also agreed. I felt a tap on my hair.

"Hades." Persephone tugged on my arm. I snapped back and looked at her.

"Yes, Dear?" I asked.

"Your food is getting cold..." I looked down. It looked frozen, but then my mind stopped its jealous act and it looked warm again.

"Oh, I hadn't noticed." I chuckled nervously.

She laughed and rolled her eyes.

I slowly eat my food and drank Neckture. Neckture is the drink of the gods. It looks like a normal drink to the mortal eye. But for the immortal eye, it is neckture.

That night, everything felt cold and wrong......
