The Wall Between Us...

Chapter 2

The figure steps closer and closer. It comes out to reach its hand and I suddenly wake up from a cold sweat with shivers down my spine and realize it was just some dream. I decide not to tell anyone and it's keep it a secret. I get dressed and grab my coat to leave for school. Well, I know what she looks like but don't know where she's been. This is gonna be much harder than I expected...

Once class is over I head over to the lunch room and stand by the wall to get the whole view of the place. I suddenly recognize her. Unexpectedly she is sitting alone. But looks very VERY happy with a HUGE smile looking down at her plate . Weird... I walk up to her and sit by her table I don't look at her and just start eating, she looks up with a confused look the a grin spreads across her face. I look up while eating and just stare until the lunch period is over. As I start to get up, she put a hand on my shoulder and asks " hey, why did you come over to my desk? Don't feel pity for me! I'm not lonely ok? I'm just fine the way I am!" I give a concerned facial expression and say "I didn't feel pity for you I just didn't want to sit alone today (that was a lie I prefer being alone) so I thought you be nice enough to be ok with it but i will just get of your trail. ok?" I turn to start leaving when I hear her say "... I'm sorry. I just didn't think people really liked me and I didn't want them to think I was weird or something... so can we start over? My name is Thea!" I start to smile. "And my name is Aaron, wanna go out to the coffee shop after school?" I know I acted to soon but the faster is the more safe I can get her. "Oh!, sure I would love that! I've never been asked to go anywhere with someone other than my parents.." Inside I feel my heart pounding really REALLY fast and I don't know why. "Here's my number. I'll call you at 5:30? And tell you where to meet up? Ok?" She nods and we exchange numbers before getting to class. I feel my cheeks starting to burn and I just can't stop smiling. I don't know what happening but I like this feeling I thinks it's.Love? No it can't be! The first day? This can't be happening...
