getting out of the car, jinyoung ran to the passenger side, opening the door for mark. mark was barely conscious. jinyoung unbuckled mark and lifted him out of the car, wrapping an arm around his shoulder to guide him once again.

"mark, what is your unit number?" jinyoung asked, as they walked across the carpark, towards the apartment complex.

"l-level seven," he sneezed and shivered, "unit f-four." mark fought to keep himself upright as he leaned into jinyoung even more than he already had.

the pair finally reached the entrance of the apartment complex, and jinyoung pushed the glass door open without hesitation. guiding mark towards the lift lobby, jinyoung presses the up button and waited patiently for the lift to arrive as he shook mark occasionally to make sure mark was conscious.

the lift came shortly after jinyoung shook mark for the third time and they stepped in as quick as they could, pressing the button to the seventh floor.

the lift doors opened and they made their way down the corridor to unit four. mark slid his hand into the pocket of his thick black jacket and brought his keys out. he passed them to jinyoung, for he could not muster enough strength to unlock and open the door. he was barely even standing.

they finally entered the apartment, and mark would have collapsed on the carpeted floor if not for jinyoung holding him up.

"let's get you to your room, okay?" jinyoung adjusted his arm around mark and let it rest on his small waist. just then, a small white dog, which jinyoung recognised as a maltese, approached them. it sniffed their feet. mark merely smiled at his dog, coco, before lifting his hand to signal which door led to his bedroom.

jinyoung got the hint and guided mark towards the light-washed wooden door which mark had gestured at.

pushing the door open, jinyoung marvelled at how aesthetic the room was, despite its simplicity. a super-single bed, a desk and a cushioned swivel chair, a large shelf, a built-in cupboard, and a beanbag made up mark's room. he wanted to take a longer look at mark's room, but he knew that he had to take care of mark first.

mark could feel his legs giving out below him and he stumbled a little, causing jinyoung to pick him up. jinyoung carried mark over to the bed, leaning him against the headboard gently. the moment mark felt the familiar bed below him, his eyes fluttered shut and his head lolled to the side, unable to stay awake any longer.

jinyoung started removing mark's socks and jacket. he contemplated changing mark's clothes for him, but decided to respect his privacy. he shifted mark, letting mark lie down fully. pulling the covers over mark, jinyoung brushed a bit of hair away from mark's face and a small smile tugged at his lips.

how does he look so innocent and angelic even when he's unwell?
