"Mr. Patrick, I'd like to speak with you," Matt's teacher said as Matt tried to leave his class. Matt turned and walked up to the teacher's desk.
"Yes Sir?"
"Your friend, Stephenie?"
"What about her Sir?"
"She's deaf. Correct?"
"Yes Sir," Matt said unsurely.
"You sign to her?"
"Yes Sir..."
"We're getting a new student, his name is Nathan Sharp. He understands English, he just can't speak it. He's not mute just..."
"He wasn't taught to speak," Matt finished.
"Yes. His parents were mutes, so he learned sign. I want you to help him out with classes and such until he can "survive" on his own."
"I'd love to Sir," Matt said with a smile.
