As I was saying yesterday, Brandon and I were sitting together, and I was hoping Mackenzie wouldn't find something to blackmail me with. Brandon and I were eating our food, and I'm pretty sure he was staring at me when I wasn't looking, because when I looked up, I saw his head suddenly dart to look somewhere else. I was flattered nonetheless.
I kept on eating, but I happened to glance back up at Mackenzie, and get this. She. Was. Gone. I did my snoopy happy dance right then and there. But I did it in my head, so Brandon wouldn't have second guesses about our.... uh... whatever you wanna call it!
After my dance finished, I went back to eating, but suddenly I was feeling like somebody was watching me. I quickly turned around to find that Mackenzie was now sitting BEHIND US!! My happy dance was starting to go in reverse.
I lightly and awkwardly tapped Brandon on the shoulder and said in a low whisper,
"We have a blonde vulture behind us..." and I discreetly motioned that we finish our food and go home. When he looked over and caught a glimpse of Mackenzie, he turned as pale as white chalk.
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, I just don't know what she's trying to do to us. She doesn't normally follow us around like this."
"Well, that's what we think, anyway."
"I'm pretty full, you?"
"Yeah, I'm good, I don't need any more."
"Okay then, I'll just leave a tip and we can go."
He got up first and walked over to me and held out his hand to help me out of the chair. I don't know how long I was staring at him and his hand, but he waited patiently until I took it. As we were walking out, I laid my head on Brandon's shoulder and he put his arm on MY shoulder. My face was red-hot, and I probably looked like I just ate 4 ghost peppers or something, my RCS was getting more and more intense. But I'm still not quite sure whether that's a good thing, a bad thing, or kind of neutral. We turned the corner to go out of the building, and I noticed Mackenzie sitting in her booth with an evil grin on her lips.
"That can NOT be good" I thought to myself. Brandon let go of me and opened the door to let me out, (what a gentleman!) and I noticed there were two men with black suits in front of the sidewalk staring at us (maybe, they had sunglasses on so it was hard to tell, but it definitely looked like they were staring in our direction). I started walking toward my house and saying goodbye to Brandon, when he caught up to me and took my hand and said,
"I'll walk you home, I don't want Mackenzie ruining your clothes in a sabotage attempt. You look really nice in them.."
I was about to thank him for the compliment, but then he started again.
"But, I-I mean, you look good in all your clothes, not just these!"
I laughed at him, mostly just because his RCS was acting up almost as much as mine was!
"W-why are you laughing?" He asked
Oh no, he thinks I was laughing at him with an I'm making fun of you laugh, when really, I'm just using my you're funny laugh!
I tried to explain, but I'm not too sure how much he understood,
"No no no! I wasn't laughing at you! I mean, I was but not in that way! I was laughing because your RCS is acting up just like mine, and when mine acts up it's like it's contagious and then Mackenzie makes fun of me and I don't know what to say, and... uhh.. yeah."
I also should note that I was talking SO fast, that I'm sure my sound waves broke the sound barrier, I couldn't help it, I panicked. So whether he understood or not, I have no idea.
He just stared at me for a second or two, and the. He gave a sweet smile and said he should get me home.
