*It is my first story so there will be mistakes. I don't know how to write good, but it's just a little effort. Hope you enjoy it!

"Annie! Annie! Come here." I snapped out of my daydreaming and walked lazily towards Lisa, my best friend and my only family. "What is it? Do you have to shout every time to call me? I'm not deaf, you know that, I guess!" I was in a really bad mood, I could feel it. "oh Annie, of course I know, but look what I found?" she showed me her treasure enclosed in her palms, like someone would steal it from her. I looked closely, it was a penny. This was a busy street in the middle of the market. Someone must have dropped it while passing and didn't bother to look back. It was nothing for him, but our case was different.

"What are you gonna do with this?" I asked her. We didn't have such chances of finding money often, but when we did, that was the major problem, Where to spend it? "I don't know, maybe I'll buy something good for both of us?" I chuckled to her answer. "Well that's for sure. I mean, money is to buy something, isn't it?" I chuckled again. "But the question is, what to buy?" She was not so happy with the joke. She tucked her penny in the pocket frowning at me. "I will find something to buy. Don't you worry about that." She pouted and started to walk away from me. I laughed to myself at her childish behaviour and ran after her. "Hey Lizzy, I'm sorry. Just listen to me. Look I didn't mean to offend you. Wait!" She was everything to me and I couldn't ignore her, even though she was mad at me. I have to make up to her somehow. That's how it goes between us!

Annabelle Smith, not so fortunate kid among millions and trillions of people living in the streets around the world. That's it, you guessed right. I'm a homeless child living in a street in one of many countries in the world (I don't want to name the one, it's just one in many, all the same!), but don't pity me, NO! 'cause I'm happy with this life. Elizabeth Alfred aka Lisa and I live together. We don't have a particular house. We wander around different streets during the day and when night falls, we sleep wherever we find some peace and quiet.

You can say that we are home to each other, even if we don't have a roof for us to cover. You're probably thinking about our parents. Well, that's a long story, but to tell you something, we lost them in an accident and couldn't stay in the orphanage. It was kind of a hell to deal with, like "less to eat and more to work" sort of situation. We can't find much here in streets as well but at least there is peace and that's plenty to live with. I hope life gives me this much forever, and I really don't need anything else from it.
