'Hey, Skye,' giggled Carlie Colbert, 'check out TD & H.'

Sage Skylar rolled her eyes and looked at her friend, Carlie Colbert. Carlie was fun and flirtacious all the time. 'Now who in the world is TD & H this time? Tom Cruise?'

'No, him,' Carlie pointed to an average heighted boy by his locker near the water fountain. His back was turned to them and so Skye sughed and looked at Carlie.

'Really, Carls?' she asked.

'Well, he is,' insisted carlie.

'You say that about everyboy,' she laughed, 'Even Jake Willis.'

'Compared to him, Jake's nothing but Shrek,' Carlie said frankly, 'Taylor Lautner's nothing but Rumplestiltskin.'

'Carlie!' Skye laughed.

'I am not even kidding. Look, he's turning around, check him out.'

Skye did turn around to look. When she saw his face, a small gasp escaped from her lips. He was beautiful. She imagined that angels had his face. She could have stared at him forever, his dark, luxuriant hair fell across his brow and into his impossible sparkling eyes, she could detect some lighter streaks. She could outline his lean muscles throuch the slim pullover he wore, over light jeans and silver high top sneakers. Carlie was right, handsome didn't do him justice enough.

'Wow,' was all she could say.

'I told you, huh,' Carlie nudged her.

'Who is he?' Skye asked, 'like really. I don't think I'd ever forget HIM.'

'That's Ariel Pacificus,' Carlie answered. 'Eleventh grade genius slash hottie slash loner- wierdo.'

Skye watched him look up and walk away. He didn't talk to anyone as he walked through the hallways and nobody talked to him. They did look though, long and hard at him.

'Wierdo?' she looked at Carlie when Ariel disappeared into a classroom. 'Why is he a wierdo?'

'He's always alone, he never talks to anyone, plus he's highly intelligent, straight As all through,' Carlie reported, 'and trust me, he's no nerd. The guy has got the hot bod to go with the face, like I'm so in love with him.'

'Ok, how long have you been obssessing?' asked Skye.

'Only since the first day of school this year.'

'That was like three weeks ago, whoa, he's held your attention for that long,' she shook her head, 'I am impressed.'

'It's not like he's not worth looking at,' Carlie giggled, 'but it's so not worth it when he catches you doing it. He looked at me once and felt it all the way to my toes.'

'I'm not surprised,' Skye shook her head, 'now come on. We've got Algebra now.'

Skye was still smiling when she entered Algebra Two. They were currently going over the Great Gatsby and she had gotten to half the book though she was a little behind on her essay. Mr. Giles, a stocky middle aged man handed out essays. When she got hers, she found a C minus. Great, she thought, my grades ar slipping . Just what need right now.

'Eyes up here people,' Mr. Giles called going to the board,'todsay we will be discussing-'

'Excuse me, please?'

All eyes went to the door. Skye gasped as she saw Ariel standing in the doorway, she noticed the class had gone strangely quiet.

'Can I help you sir?' asked Giles in a polite but firm manner.

'Is this Algebra Two? Mr. Anselm transferred me here.' he said.

'That's the seniors programm,' frowned Giles.
